Al & Dez

Hahahaha, amazing!! I love Robert Patrick, he’s such a great character actor. I especially liked him in Copland, where he played Christopher Walken from At Close Range. Looks exactly like him with that hairstyle and droopy moustache. Great film, great great cast.

I love both those films. Especially “At Close Range”. Walken is such a great slimy bastard.[/reply]

Yeah, he’s an evil bastard in that one, totally. Copland is one of my favourite films, good to see Stallone holding his own in a cast like that.

I love Walken…KING OF NEW YORK!!!

Well here’s a small sample of Al on the new Coal Chamber album. All the samples I’m hearing just sound like Coal Chamber are trying to make a Devildriver album (or vice-versa). Gunnar’s favorite guitarist of all time is heavily featured!

Meegs!

Spooky-core.

It’s French.

For ButtAids.

Especially “At Close Range”. Walken is such a great slimy bastard.

Awesome movie, except for the fact that that keyboard lick from Madonna’s “Live To Tell” keeps playing throughout the film. Yeah Sean Penn, we get that you’re bangin Madonna, but do you have to cram her song down our throats for 2 hours? I also liked seeing the almighty Crispin Glover in there and the fact that Kiefer Sutherland had only one line, yet he became a bigger name than almost everyone else in the film.

Here’s the song, i haven’t heard it yet myself, no idea what it’s like.

Not my favorite Coal Chamber song, but I like it more than anything else Al has been involved in the past several years, though I’ve grown quite fond of The Last Dubber thanks to acid_cripple.

Oofah. Not good.

Also: You should not do a lyric video when the lyrics are that bad.

That was unbearable…

I can’t keep these early '00s metal guys straight.
Was this the “Let The Bodies Hit The Floor” band?

That was Drowning Pool.

Not sure these guys ever had a “hit” song. I just remember when I would hear their songs, I always thought it was Korn at first. That’s why I just call them Korn Chamber.

Coal Chamber had a few hits - one of which featured Ozzy - but some of them were a little under the radar. Most of them got videos though.

That was simply an awful video. The music wasn’t bad and I like Al’s parts, but those are some cringe worthy lyrics.

True story:

A few years ago, I went to see Filter at the Roxy here in LA. After the 4th or 5th song, Richie says “You all know my brother. He’s here tonight. He said if I played this next song, he’d come down in the pit and tear it up with everybody.” Until that point, there wasn’t really a pit going, but I was standing in the spot where it would be. So people hear this and start cheering. I turn to my right, and Robert “T-1000” Patrick is standing next to me with an evil grin. He looks at me and says “Let’s do this!” Filter starts playing [url http://youtu.be/TaEfCG0mSsE]“Under” and he starts raging in the pit. I took a few slams from him and gave some back. It was pretty cool.

This is legendary

I just watched/ listened to the “Suffer in Silence” video. I would have suffered a lot less if they’d have just stayed silent. That was absolutely abysmal. But . . . What does Al supposedly do on the song? I kept waiting to hear him or something but I never caught any moment that stuck out as him.

But it was definitely horrible.

He did the backing vocals for the chorus (like the main dude sings a line, then Al does the repeat of it), then he had like a spoken word part during the middle section.

Did you click on it, but not watch the video? He was in the video too. (They cut to him when he’s doing his parts)

This is probably too much info, but I watched it on my phone while taking a shit. I’m guessing I couldn’t tell which was Al and which was Dez in the video. Stupid song, stupid video, and I’m not going to watch it again. My dumps will not be tarnished by such generic buttrock bullshit.

The comments are pretty funny for the YouTube vid, though. Most of them are morons arguing over whether this is “Nu-Metal” or “Groove Metal”. If you ask me I think it’s a pretty good example of “AIDS-In-The-Butt-Faggy-Homo-Douchecore”.

Ah, yeah, then you just missed him. Not worth the trouble to watch it again.

I might’ve been taking a dump when watching it as well…
