Ministry’s Al Jourgensen is set to appear on Coal Chambers new album which is set to be released next year. Al and Dez posed for a photo after the recording session and both looked to be in great spirits after the session. Crossing our fingers that we get to hear a little bit of the track in the near future!
Coal Chamber will also be hitting the road next year with Filter, Combichrist and American Head Charge. The tour will be opening here at Marquee Theatre on March.6th. Tickets go on-sale this Friday and Saturday. Stay tuned for more info.

I have no idea who Coal Chamber is.
I have no idea who Coal Chamber is.
Lucky you…
I have no idea who Coal Chamber is.
Take a time machine back to 1999.
Go to a mall in a suburban area of the mid-west which has a Hot Topic.
Grab 5 angsty goth children from the food court.
Call it Coal Chamber.
This is Meegs Rascon (I always remember his name because I had a subscription to Guitar World around this time and Nu-Metal was all the rage and filled the pages).
He is proud of his “signature sound”.
He called it . . . .
Wait for it . . . .
I’m not making this up . . . .
Honestly . . .
Spookycore.
I’m the only one who’s stoked for this. I laughed pretty hard seeing the name American Head Charge. Prime definition of 3rd rate nu-metal right there. The head scratcher is Filter being in the co-headlining spot when they’ve always been a bigger band than Coal Chamber.
Yeah, I would think even Combichrist is a bigger name than Coal Chamber.

Nowadays yes! Take that Metropolis!
Coal Chamber was pretty tough to digest over an entire album. However, their last album was much darker and hinted at what would soon evolve into Devildriver (who I like). If they stay in that vibe this might be interesting.
Post from a friend on FB:
Filter just announced a tour with Coal Chamber, Combichrist and American Head Charge. I’ve said this before, WHAT FUCKING YEAR IS THIS! AM I LATE FOR CLASS?!?!
Rev, can you come over later and help me put some cool beads on my cornrows? I’ll give you my super baggy pants and my CrazyTown shirt. Cool?

I agree that full albums are hard to digest, but I found Dark Days to be a bit of a rehash of their first album. I’m surprised they didn’t make it a little bigger than they did when Sharon Osbourne was their manager…
This thread gave me Ebola AIDS…

I’ll be there! Just gotta pick up some eyeliner and a mesh shirt to where under the Crazytown T.

Just like how you would’ve got Mad Cow Disease if this thread was in existence 15 years ago, right?

Please not SARS. I can’t handle another benefit concert with crappy bands.

What show was this?
Now is it just me, or will we have to worry about West Nile Virus next year since that one seems to be relevant every few years?
Fast forward 15 years and this guy now works at Merck & Co as a packer and dispatch assistant.
His real name is Kenneth Hodgkins. He is married to a social care worker and they have a two year old daughter.
He enjoys outdoor sports (such as sailing and hiking), working on his car and playing Xbox.
His favorite movie is the Matrix trilogy.
