I actually don’t mind Coal Chamber’s music. Forget all of the gimmicks, and the lame fanbase. Guilty pleasure along with bands like Korn and Manson (all who I listened to alot when I was younger).

Please not SARS. I can’t handle another benefit concert with crappy bands.
What show was this?

Sounds awesome! And it obviously worked because . . . . well, when has anyone gotten SARS since? Yeah, that’s what I thought.
If Al plays with anyone i think it should be John 5
he should be the next guitarest for the final 2015 tour
some fresh shit and help Al out who can’t even play no more.
Al should do something with Youth Code. They are both based in LA now. Maybe produce an EP. They’ve got that raw / messy / heavy / dirty EBM vibe. Instead, we get a Coal Chamber collab. I’m interested to hear it, but why doesn’t Al go back to his roots a bit? Oh well.
Maybe Al got his roots out of his system when he did that track with FLA.
I’m the only one who’s stoked for this. I laughed pretty hard seeing the name American Head Charge. Prime definition of 3rd rate nu-metal right there. The head scratcher is Filter being in the co-headlining spot when they’ve always been a bigger band than Coal Chamber.
No. I’m one of the few who’s stoked about all this. I love all these bands immensely, and with Al working with Dez I think it’s going to be amazing. Especially of Al is just kinda helping engineer the album. He does have a good ear for catchy abd heavy when he wants.

Yes.
i just saw them the other night, opening for Skinny Puppy and was quite impressed.
I also wouldn’t mind John5 being added to “Ministry”.
John 5 would be a welcome add, to be honest. I’ve never cared about any of the groups that he’s played with, but he really is quite a creative and versatile talent and he can properly groove whether things are going in rock and roll or industrial direction or whatever else is thrown his way.
Even though John 5 put up with Manson for 5 years, I think he’d get sick of Al after 5 minutes…
^
I don’t know. I mean, Al’s a bit of a train wreck and a difficult guy, obviously, but the rest of the band are all just professional dudes who do their job. I don’t know John personally or anything, but from what I’ve seen and read he seems like a straight-forward professional too, who wouldn’t really get caught up in the bullcrap or politics of anything.
But then again . . . knowing that he’s already suffered through Manson and such, he might be a little more selective in choosing his gigs with respect to oarticular personalities he’d be thrown in the pit with.
MINISTRY mainman Al Jourgensen makes a guest appearance on the much-anticipated comeback studio album from COAL CHAMBER, the reformed '90s alt-metal band fronted by current DEVILDRIVER singer Dez Fafara. The CD was recently completed at Audiohammer studio in Sanford, Florida with producer Mark Lewis (DEVILDRIVER, CANNIBAL CORPSE) for a tentative early 2015 release via Napalm Records.
“[Al’s] a good friend for a long time and a legend,” Fafara told [url “http://www.artistdirect.com/entertainment-news/article/interview-dez-fafara-of-coal-chamber/11313699”]ARTISTdirect.com editor in chief Rick Florino. "He came to my house. We ate Italian food, drank wine, and had a great time recording together.
"No other artist would have ‘fit’ the bill to collaborate with us, as Al straddles both metal and goth the same way COAL CHAMBER does.
"His music in MINISTRY is the bridge between metal and the dark.
“He’s a great guy, and I’m humbled to have worked alongside him.”
Dez also spoke about the musical direction of the new COAL CHAMBER material, saying that it “absolutely exceeded my expectations” and describing it as “focused” and “honed in” with “tight arrangements” and “huge hooks.”
He added: "[Our] mindset, of course, [was] different [this time around]. [We were] very intent on delivering the best within our music.
"You cannot expect a throwback record after 13 years apart, and I personally would not want to be part of that sort of record.
“This album absolutely has a fresh feel and is a total growth for the band.”
COAL CHAMBER will embark on a North American headlining tour in the spring. Support on the trek — which kicks off on March 6 in Tempe, Arizona and runs through April 12 in Dallas, Texas — will come from FILTER, COMBICHRIST and AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE.
COAL CHAMBER is offering an exclusive VIP Package for every date on the tour. It includes a meet-and-greet with the band, exclusive t-shirt, exclusive poster, souvenir laminate and early entry (where applicable).
Bassist Nadja Peulen returned to COAL CHAMBER in November 2013 following the departure of Canadian musician Chela Rhea Harper, who joined the band in late 2011 and toured with the group for nearly two years.

Sweet. I used to have to not buy 4 separate tickets to avoid these losers. Now they’ve consolidated them into one big buttfest so I can say NO more efficiently.

And on that note, I’m getting the fuck out of here.
Have we really seen the last of Peligro?

Death came from Orlando…but yeah besides that it’s a wasteland of fecal matter…

I didn’t realize they were from Orlando. Tampa got the reputation at that time for being the incubator for death metal greatness, but I’m sure some of them either moved in or were elsewhere and just came in for shows . . . .
I can’t even remember all the Florida death metal greats . . . Obituary, Morbid Angel, Death, Deicide, Malevolent Creation . . .
Yeah,I lived in Orlando for a short time(unfortunately)and briefly dated a girl who once dated Chuck(or at least banged him)…she ended up being extremely neurotic and I quickly ran for the hills…but anyway, yeah Death orginated from Orlando even though Tampa is ground zero for DM…
