ace frehley or slash

According to Duff in his book, Izzy basically left because of Axl’s bullshit drama queen late appearances on that tour. I can’t blame him. There’s something to be said about some shithead who can’t take the stage within FOUR HOURS at a time. That’s right. FOUR.

30 minutes I get. 1 hour is another. Past that? The fuck outta here.

I would love to know what Axl was doing being late to those shows. Watching Lakers games? Chasing pussy? Admired for how straight and clean his red hair was? What a fuck.

I’m not saying yer wrong but where did you get all of this info on izzy?
Also, I knew slash and izzy worked well together so I’ve always wondered how come slash never kept up with izzy, I mean I know izzy is clean but so is slash (I’m sure he still smokes weed). Unfortunately, I was way beyond star struck when I met slash to even think to ask how come they don’t at least collaborate anymore. I have quite a few izzy abums, and you can hear the same song structures and tell exactly how much influence izzy had on most of the GNR songs. While izzy albums are still really good I think its missing the raunch of the other members and ends up being heavily titlted towards southern rock rather than blues. his albums are the only albums I can really listen to from that genre. I really like the album “ride on.” Its ashame it wasn’t released in the states.

I read a book about GnR a few years ago, sorry can’t remember the name. I’d recognise it if I read a bit, and from what I remember it quotes a lot of press interviews and stuff.

I bought the Ju Ju Hounds album when it came out. I was disappointed at the time it wasn’t as heavy as GnR. Still good though. Definitely missing the raunch like you say.

Wasn’t Izzy going to join VR at first? That would’ve been pretty good maybe but I’ve never got into VR.

4 hours. He used to finish gigs early too after long waits. nuts.

Izzy was gone before the albums were released. He played 3 months worth of pre album tours. I think sometime in august was his last show. Many of the songs that are on UYI I & II were written well before appetite came out. Don’t cry demo is a perfect example of this. That song was completed well before the illusion albums and played a few times on the appetite tour. All the albums did was polish it . Back off bitch is another one. I dont think too many songs were actually written specifically for the illusion albums. Izzy came back on the tour again briefly when gilby broke his hand but once gilby was ready to go again he was gone…

Id say juju hounds is easily the weakest of izzys releases…
