…how is this in the least bit interesting? probably the worst lyrics i’ve ever heard (almost on par with rebecca black), and the music is BORING. i just can’t get over the terrible lyrics though…because usually the lyrics are what i love most about ministry. definitely ruins the song for me. meh, i guess we’ll have to wait for the album.

ok someone here has to know, the chorus part the 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,99% part, sounds exactly like a mid-to-late era Killing Joke song, and it’s driving me nuts what it is…??? like something from Pandemonium onwards I think…much like Voices in my Head was “influenced” by Flock of Seagulls…everytime it comes up I hear Geordies guitar and Jaz voice but it’s like distant echo and can’t quite put my finger on it…

I can definitely hear the Killing Joke influence as others do…it’s ok,but surely is missing that “something”…I don’t know,Al should of just let things be or at the least recorded this crap under some other name…I didn’t dislike the Dubya trilogy as much as most others but I sure think it was the right time to stop…

But hey what do I know,my favorite Ministry album is Filth Pig…

Very KJ Democracy sounding. I like Democracy too. Musically, this isn’t that bad. But it sounds like a poor man’s KJ. Al’s vocals and lyrics are what really ruins it though.

Okay, the Killing Joke sound on this reeled me in and I really dig the music, but I would have prefered for Al to lay down some Just one Fix type vocals on this and it would have been tha Shiznit.

Most of us on here love FP. In fact there’s a few of us (me included) that say Dark Side Of The Spoon is our favorite.

We’re pretty much all terrible Ministry fans here. DSOTS rules.

Also, Al ripping off Killing Joke? Brutal.

I’ve always loved FP. Anyone have a copy of “Blood Lust” off of Relapse?

you mean off rantology?

I thought that’s what he meant too, gila. But I looked it up and apparently it’s a new track that was released to Facebook fans of Ministry.
Can’t access Facebook at work, unfortunately.

I tried listening to it. Made me dizzy. Couldn’t finish it. Lot of stuff going on in that song, but it’s not for me.

Blood Lust is a new track.

You guys are thinking of “Bloodlines” off Rantology . . . it was the song that sounded like “So What”.

Sad how many people thought the very idea of “Relapse” was a joke. Now everyone’s buying it?
Aren’t there other bands to jerk off to other than Ministry?

Did many people listen to the whole thing? I got about 90 seconds in or so and just clicked on some random wrestling video instead. The riff didn’t sound too bad but the rest (esp. the drums) sound really crappy and Al’s input (words and singing) is utter shit, as expected. Totally forgettable.

Give me 80s KJ anyday.

Looked on facebook and couldn’t find a link to it.
Late,

actually i had brain lag and i misread “blood lust” for “bad blood”… oh well

It’s a Ministry board in it’s original form, so naturally people are going to be interested in what Ministry is doing. Terribly sorry that we’re not all following your opinion lockstep.
But feel free to start your own thread about fat chicks or shampoo or whatever the hell you’d rather talk about.

Don’t be ridiculous, Rev!
Fat chicks don’t use shampoo.

I read it more as a commentary on the turncoats. “fuck ministry bla bla…Never gonna buy another Ministry thing bla bla… Al Sucks donkey balls bla bla… Hey these new tracks are alright minus the Al part… bla bla… gonna buy the new CD”

HAHAHA!!! I don’t keep track of everyone’s voting records, but there’s certainly a different mood in the air about this track.

I don’t think it’s anything spectacular, but I think what gets a lot of people a little excited is that is sounds at least a bit different than just the predictable by-the-numbers thrash metal or the recent beyond bad covers stuff.

I didn’t really mind the thrashy metal stuff (though the themes and lyrics were definitely tired).

Most of my personally Al-baiting is due to the retarded cover albums, remiXXX albums, all the stupid outsourced RamCo stuff, and the ridiculous rip-off packages from 13th Planet or related auction sites.
