Blackacidevil has some good moments, actually.
In some ways the albums that came after that are worse because he stopped taking risks.
The new Morbid Angel.
The new Morbid Angel.
BINGO!!!
The new Morbid Angel.
Yeah. What the fuck happened there?
Wait I get it! 99 Percenters is the addition tape for Uncle Al to teach college! Don’t believe me? Look at the theme, it’s Sesame Street style! Only better because it’s
Ministry: $e$@me $treet!"
Genius!

Now there is angle I hadn’t considered…[:)]
Metalstorm has the best review so far, though it’s a bit TOO harsh…“Freefall”, “Double Tap”, “Relapse”, and the S.O.D. cover are all decent tracks, with “99 Percenters” coming in at a distant “OK but overall boring” 5th place. But the points about it relating too much to an actual relapse, the asinine lyrics, and cringe-worthy attempts at “comedy” from a once-briliant but now washed out clown (see also: Manson) are dead on. Angie is all over their Facebook yelling at people and defending this pile of trash, in a very appropriate sad image of what this band used to be.
Hopefully whatever Paul, Chris, and Ogre cooked up for the ‘Fix’ documentary will be better, and even more hopefully cockslap Al into making nice and fixing this mess.
The only way to fix this mess is to kill it dead…for good…

On which Facebook page is Angie trying to defend the album? I think that would be funny to see.
Yeah I’m looking for that too, but nothing yet.
This is funny, though (from her Wall):::
“Watch Dr. Drew! He’s address addiction/alcoholism from a specialist’s point of view…very interesting and provocative

O RLY?
More dramarama, past entries on the Ministry wall:::
“Casey Orr
[99%‘s] an anthem for everyone who’s sick of getting fucked by the American system. And that means you, bub! It’s the first release because it’s timely. Yeah, it’s kinda pop/punk and that’s what I dig about it. Got a cool working class vibe to it. But rest easy all you knobs bitching about it not being heavy, the rest of the record is full of face melting barn burners! Trust me, Al ain’t phonin’ it in! Relapse is going to kill.”

Some of you people really have your head in your ass. The record is pretty fucking intense. Al is writing and singing better then I have ever heard him. If you dont like it, dont listen to it. Ministry is touring and we will be playing our asses off. For anyone who thinks there getting something from the past keep dreaming. It is a new time and a new sound and it is fucking heavy. You dont like it piss off…

They’ve been creating music with simple childish generic political lyrics for a long time. So Aaron boy, you better pull your head out of your ass and sprout ears you moron. The lack of Paul Barker’s creative genius left him wallowing in his own childish anger. They haven’t put out a good record ever since he quit the band. So go sprout ears, grow balls, smell the ashes and come back to me once ur done kiddo.

Well, I’d be pleasantly surprised if the new record was any different.

Sounds like there are a few self righteous idiots posting on here. Just because you have the luxury of sitting back and doing nothing else with your life except passing judgement lightly and spreading your unwanted negativity all over something you clearly need more insight on, doesn’t give you the right to be THAT ignorant AND unoriginal. GET INFORMED! Don’t hate the music, hate the bastards the music is directed to…the people who take your money, your hopes and your dreams! Ministry rocks! It’s a new year, let’s make it a great one!

Also, I absolutely refuse to believe there are more than a hundred people that like this shit. I know it is music for the lowest-common denominator, but there’s better thrash-metal music out there I’m sure that they are into. These can’t be old fans in any shape or form. Can they?
This is all very depressing…
tyvm for the link, the review is spot on
