So I finally scoped out Relapse, and all I can say is that it feels like the death of a friend. Every release after Rio Grande Blood has been a slow death and it finally flatlined with this release, and as for the video, man, no words to say what already has been said. I will say that there are plenty of Mike Scaccia moments that display his brutal riffage, but not enough to save this dying horse, so long ministry, it was fun for a while!
Oh how the mighty have fallen[:/]…
Yet none of us can pull the plug… Would be far better off. Not sure why I keep going back to this stuff, hoping it’ll be better than the last listen. What I need to do is delete anything and everything post-2004. Ministry, not-revco; all of it. It’s not going to get better at this point.

As dead as a door knob. Sadly.

[reply][reply]Here’s the lyrics from the Japanese bonus track:
I love you,
You love me.
Going down the sugar tree.
We’ll go down the sugar tree,
And see lots of bees
Playing, playing.
But the bees won’t sting,
Because you love me.
Is this already out in japan? What’s the title of the bonus track?

That’s a poem from Boogie Nights, man.[/reply]
Oh… heh heh [blush]
I only saw that movie once and I was high as shit when I saw it. I only remember roller girl saying “don’t cum in me fucker” Burt Reynolds beating the shit out of some dude and throwing him out of a limo. Macy’s old lady fucking dudes out in the driveway while neighbors gathered round and watched and Macy blowing his brains out while smiling on news years.
Late,

Ha, I first saw this forum and then read this article:

The content of this lack of creativity (“stick it to da man!”) is amusing coming from people who have threatened to sue people who have worked for them for absolutely free (such as myself) to those who have worked for them for a payment.
If anything should be called an “abortion”, it should be the work currently instead of the With Sympathy era. Wow.
I think Paul should sue for legacy assassination

Ministry is as dead as Type O Negative.
…
[:(]
I couldn’t even sit through the samples over on amazon.com…
…let alone the whole album.
I will now randomly type out the names of every terrible album I can think of off the top of my head and I bet you $1000 each and every single one of them trumps Relapse hands down in terms of quality.
Here goes:
ahem…
Limp Bizkit - Results May Vary
The Bloodhound Gang - Hefty Fine
Queen - Hot Space
Orgy - Candyass
Metallica - St Anger
Def Leppard - X
Killing Joke - Outside The Gate
Black Sabbath - Forbidden
Chris Cornell - Scream
System Of A Down - Steal This Album
Wow. That was surprisingly easy.

Come on! Leave Orgy alone! That was their good album, heh. And I prefer Steal This Album way over Mesmerize/Hypnotize. I agree with the rest though. I’d add the last few manson albums too.

I see Al in this video and I think of

Type O Negative LIVES!!!
Might be time for a review thread.
First thoughts:
The most turgid, bland and monotonous set of songs Al has ever churned out, including remix and cover records. There’s nothing here I can see replaying in the future, adding to playlists, nothing I’d rank as above average.
“Bloodlust” proves that Al is indeed an absolute fucker who can sing like an angel but stupidly chooses not to. This is the one song where hints of what made Ministry great shine through and that’s only for moments.
“Ghouldiggers”, once you get past the embarrassing introduction is OK. Has infectious energy reminiscent of the Animosity era but it doesn’t last long once more of those self absorbed samples come in and ruin it.
Metallica - St Anger
Black Sabbath - Forbidden
Chris Cornell - Scream
That’s fuckin harsh with these 3 alone.

U actually sat through Def Leppard-X to find out that it sucks??

Hell no. Can’t stand leppard. I was only defending Candyass and Steal This Album.
Limp Bizkit - Results May Vary
I haven’t heard the leak yet, as every comment on here is making me not want to. But if Results May Vary is better, god damn. Cause that is probably the worst album I have ever heard.
But how does it compare to Van Halen’s “III” or The Velvet Underground’s “Squeeze”?
Celtic Frost-Cold Lake???
