I don’t think the prison team or production would ever be complicit in any sort of sabotage, but I could see where given the amount of grief a motherfucker like Action Jackson gives them, their scale of WHEN to throw a flag on the field could be a bit more biased… If it was a situation where they might normally err on the side of safety and pull a guy out or send in guards to check on something, maybe they’ll be more apt to just “let him work it out on his own”. So, I guess I’m agreeing to an extent that they could fuck a guy just a little bit, I think it would be on a much more subtle and unspoken level. Nothing planned or schemed but . . . . perhaps just a little slower to push a panic button type of shit, haha.
And, yeah, I don’t remember the clip specifically, but I’m always putting my chips on “intentional misdirect with creative teaser editing” .
This one is a real wild card. His big swingin’ dick ego is near unstoppable, so I don’t see a tap out, per se, but I can definitely see him letting shit spiral out of control with his frontin’ ass bullshit and him getting pulled out for his own safety and/or the protection of the program. I hope not, though. I don’t want him being able to say he “would’ve” gone all the way or some shit like the “sheriff pulled me out because I was such a badass and he didn’t want me making them look bad”.
I agree with wanting to see him get stomped hard. He’s s dumb that it could very well get to that point. I just hope he’s clobbered hard before they send in the heavies to break it up.
If there is something specific you saw on the show that seems questionable to you just say what it is and why it should be viewed with skepticism. As it is, I’m not even sure if you’ve ever even seen the show. You say you’re not proud of being incarcerated on multiple occasions yet you’re waving that convict status as if it makes you a television expert. Yeah, I hear ya, and I liked that he was testing the guards too, haha! He was being so slow and sloppy with grabbing the papers and shoving them back that it almost seemed like he was doing it deliberately to get caught just to see what would happen (not a damned thing, apparently).
I guess it’s his bullshit attitude which rubs me the wrong way, but we’ll see how it plays out. And while I thought he was being unnecessarily dickish to CollegeBoy, I guess it beats the alternative (all the idiot girls grouping together 5 minutes after intake last year).

Yeah, I think we ALL agree on this, or at least to some degree.
I mean, they’re obviously still going “MTV Real World” style with the casting and trying to do the “people from different walks of life/ perspective” schtick.
If they got out of their TV minds a bit and focused solely on the “mission” they could be far more effective. And, honestly, I’d be happy with that. I’d actually rather see a bunch of winners executing this well. The crazy shit is gonna happen all around them regardless, so why compromise everything from the start by having a roster of a bunch of scrubs? Sure, it’s fun and interesting to see how total outsiders change in attitude, values, and mindset through their experiences, but that’s kinda overrated and they really speed through it now on the reunions anyway.
I guess I’m just a little sick of seeing them shit the bed each season that I’d love for them to just cut the bullshit and build a machine for proper success.
This is really what it comes down to. Is this a show or public service that’s being broadcast? I’m fine with either just market it as what it really is and not pretend it’s one or the other.
