10/10

One of the many reasons DSOTS is my favorite Ministry album. 10/10 is a kinda lucky number with me that I see everywhere I look, like a guardian binary angel or something. Kinda Zen shit right there.

So it’s natural that the tenth of October is my favorite day.

Except that 10/10 in relation to DSOTS relates to death

It’s an instrumental, how exactly does it relate to death?

Finally a thread worth posting in… hahaha

Yeah I’ll give that bitch a spin, make sure you blast Eureka Pile first, the best track on DSOTS.

Because the title is the date of Jim Nash’s Death from AIDS (or the other Wax Trax! founder-either way it’s the date that somebody important from Wax Trax! died of AIDS)

Wow I did not know that, and yes it is probably in reference to Jim Nash’s passing. Danny Flesher is still alive as far as I know.

Jim Nash, president and co-founder of the seminal industrial music label Wax Trax! Records, died of complications from AIDS Oct. 10 in Chicago. He was 47

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ICEY!

Nope, not quite. [:)]

That’s a few months away.

Still, it was a great fuckin’ day. I took some things in stride today that would’ve flat-out crippled my ass otherwise… but DAMN. Good stuff.

Sorry dude, guess I coulda waited a day or so before I hit ya with that. I’ve always loved 10/10 cause the songs reminds me of some crazy music you’d hear during a scene in a movie that a victim is running away from a killer. (the mental pics are always very vivid) So kinda weird that I’ve always heard death in that song before I knew the title was a death date.

Damn, I wish I would’ve saw this thread yesterday. I love picking up on song/days of the years.

When I bought DSOTS I was reading American Psycho, so when I listen to the album, specially the last songs (don’t know why) I always see Patrick Bateman running around killing people or returning some videotapes.

It’s all good. Hell, I always kinda pictured the same thing.

so if it’s a good song does that mean it was paul’s work?

Dunno. Al played sax on that album, so…

Dunno. Al played sax on that album, so…

Well, if that’s him playing that sax solo on 10/10, I think that’s quite possibly the coolest thing he’s ever played.

FUCK YOU, ICEY!!! [;)]

Imagine… getting best songs from DSOTS, Animositisomina and Filthpig, and chucking them on the one album.

Now, THERE’S an idea. [:)]
