I’ve fallen back in love with Tomahawk’s albums. How can you not with tracks like “God hates a coward” and “Mayday”? His stage presence is one of the best I have ever seen.
I know Mr. Bungle is done with (sadly - thought California was awesome), but what is he upto these days? Any upcoming tours?
On a related note, I was warned to stay away from “Firecracker”, a film in which Patton is the lead role. Anyone seen it?
Besides, you got to love a performer who gets banned from a city for sticking a microphone up his ass. Eat your heart out, Brian Warner.
Fantomas is the touring act at the moment, but think it’s dwindling down for now. Have two dates in Australia and that’s all that’s left. They’ve already been across the US, Europe and Japan.
Then suppose he will go work on some project. Peeping Tom(if this ever comes to fruition and isn’t the worlds longest running April Fools…), new Tomahawk or any number of other things he wants to do I guess.
Mr. Bungle was and still is pretty kick ass. Very good band, and sucks they did split, but seemed inevitable. The three albums they put out helped push the boundaries of music, and then wasn’t much place left for them to go. Also, one of the funnest bands to see live. Have many, many, many bootlegs of cover songs.
They had Terry Bozzio with them on this tour and he totally kicked Dave Lombardo’s ass. Nevertheless, my favorite Patton project ever is still the tour that he did with Rahzel. I think he should go further into hip-hop, perhaps collaborate with Dalek or something… I am growing tired of his pretentious ‘avant-garde’ rock bands…
I loved the patton/rahzel concerts too…amazing stuff. They need to do an album together! I agree…Patton definitly should experiment more. Peeping Tom I THINK is supposed to come out next year, and has tons of people producing(including Dalek and even AMON TOBIN!!! )
Patton supposdly has ideas for about 3 new Fantomas albums. One with the new drummer, one all acoustic, the other all electronic. Sounds like it’ll be great, as always.
