It’s been talked about since the album came out. Cool to see this becoming a reality. I’m not sure what exactly I would think of it, but i’d definitely watch and give it a shot.
“How could I express what I was feeling in a way that didn’t sound like bitching about George Bush? I mean, you know, I love Neil Young but I didn’t want to listen to that record, really,” he said, referring to the singer-songwriter’s “Living with War.” “My reaction to that kind of record is, ‘We know this. It’s obvious.’”
Al, are you reading this? I know Trent’s not your favorite person anymore (I’m sure it’s always difficult when the student becomes more successful than the master), but he’s got a valid point. Sometimes subtlety is where it’s at. Also, Trent stopped drinking and look at the size of his guns! That could be you, man!
I was just going to post that snippet but you beat me to it. And Al’s got three releases all about the same topic. I felt the same with Rage too - it just got too much.
Killing Joke is a good example of how subtlety works when dealing with political topics usually, as does even NIN.
Looks slightly pretentious at the moment. HBO being a sucker for pretentious shows seems to fit right in.
Who knows, might turn out to be really good anyway.
Is HBO a sucker for pretentious shows, or just really fucking good ones?
the really fucking good ones, mostly.
come on jizzy you know the wire was the best cop drama ever! as much as i absolutely despise year zero i think it could make for a half way decent show if the right people get involved. but they should forget about this and just bring carnivale back!
Did anybody catch that show on HBO called 'molitov alta" about a guys search for the meaning of life after interting himself into second life? it was really fucking good and i saw it on hbo on bemand one day, watched them all and they were all gone the next
