Been listening to this all day. Damn good song.
Can’t wait for the album…
Cool track.
I haven’t followed FNM for a billion years so I don’t know if this is a radical new direction or just continuing the same, but it does have some Foetus flavor in it, haha.

Well their last album was in 97…
I hear ya, Prologue. I’m not anti-FNM or Patton, but he’s one of those cats that I’ve just never understood the surrounding cult of.
So, can anyone tell me . . . . is Jim Martin back in the band or is he still pursuing his destiny of growing the world’s largest pumpkin?
He still grows pumpkins.
Martin refused any and all talks of a reunion.
Motherfucker was likeable enough. Hope the rest of the album is in a similar vein.
Personally, I think Patton is one of the most unique and certainly of the most fascinating cult figures in alternative music full stop.
It’s a real shame both Fantomas and Mr Bungle are no longer recording new material as both of those acts could have taken on the world.
Still interested in hearing that unreleased material that Patton recorded with Massive Attack.
awful track it’s a deep cut and a throwaway, but good for anyone who digs it
who said Fantomas ended? they’re still playing live shows, plus they were putting out an electronic-influenced LP years back

He’s the one in the gimp suit.
Patton is very approachable and will answer questions about anything…every time I’ve seen Fantomas,Tomahawk or Mr Bungle he is always walking around before shows and chatting with fans…he doesn’t play the rock star persona bullshit…I’ve always liked his stuff…he is a hard worker,he takes chances musically and can do anything vocally…
Look forward to the new album…huge fan of FNM…
It’s funny that it’s mentioned that he has this cult like following that will gobble up anything he does without question…the flip side of that is he has a cult like following of people who just love to hate on the fucking guy haha…definitely a polarizing figure…I don’t blindly consume everything he does…some of it I can’t stand…but the stuff that I dig,I really dig…
Heard the new single yesterday. Love it. Can’t wait for the album.

Oh man,I forgot about that stuff with Massive Attack…do you have any details on how much stuff they recorded? I’m surprised that hasn’t somehow seen the light of day…
No jim martin? Not interested.
Roddy Bottum is doing the talk / rap bit. No wonder it had me confused at first.
I, for one, love this like crazy.
And when Patton’s vocals kick in on the chorus…<shivers>
I don’t think this is going to be on the new album - just being released on Record Store Day.
He still grows pumpkins.
I just found some clips of him sitting in on some Bay Area all-star jams with Metallica, Testament/Machine Head and such. I would NEVER recognize the dude. Even with his flying V the only way I even knew it was him was because I knew all the other guys WEREN’T him. He just looks like a regular Joe-Blow schlub. Completely boring looking. No charisma whatsoever.
It actually made me sad to watch because he was so cool looking back in the day and had such a unique flair.

I’ve heard King Buzzo say that, although Fantomas have not officially broken up, he hardly has anything to do with Patton anymore and had no clue as to when, if ever, they may record again.
I’m assuming this is what Ambulance was referring to…??
I heard a story once about Jim Martin accidentally setting a hotel room on fire when FNM were on tour in England.
Apparently he woke up to find a small fire had started in one corner of the room and was slowly spreading up the wall and onto the curtains.
He blearily sat up, exclaimed loudly “Oh fuck, my hotel room’s on fire” then turned over and went back to sleep.
Legend!

A couple months back, when the Whiskey was having its anniversary, Infectious Grooves played. Jim played guitar for them that night. I saw pics the next day and didn’t even recognize him. Just looked like some guy.
