Yankee Dildo

This is the debut of Nursing Home 2009. I have uploaded new photos and music to the the myspace page and facebook group. This next phase marks the inclusion of Andrew Sanzo as the new guitarist and co-singer of Nursing Home. Andrew and I have known each other since we were children, but it wasn’t until now that our musical collaboration could be possible.

Nursing Home will always be the voice of Justin Symbol. But like a vampire, it needs fresh blood in order to reinvent itself with each phase of its development. I suffered writer’s block after the dissolution of The Nursing Home Band in Syracuse and my relocation back to Connecticut. The focus on terrorism abroad shifted as a new leader emerged. The white picket fences became black, but Americana and the Nursing Home still plagued me.

Andrew was the cure. He is a rock star and a pharmaceutical messiah. He reinvigorated my Industrial shock terrorism with a dose of speed-infused rock 'n roll from the heart of the Bayou.

“Yankee Dildo” is more personal. The song began with a dream in Syracuse and was stuck in my head throughout the endless summer of 2008 as I toiled in extreme heat, covered in poison ivy and the urine of my shattered ego. It took on a whole new meaning with a misogynistic confrontation in a bar which led to my arrest and conviction as an enemy of the people. It was finally recorded on the Fourth of July as the fireworks blazed in the sky and America greased its collective red white and blue cock on the backyard barbeque. Baba Yaga and I finished the job with a secret recording session in the heart of Delaware.

in addition, I have remastered two classics from The Nursing Home Band’s 2008 album ‘You Don’t Have the Right Not to be Offended’. “Addiction” and “Little Girls” are presented the way they were meant to be heard, with new guitar courtesy of Baba Yaga and new drum programming by yours truly.

The new songs, photos, and lyrics are all available at:

More NHB songs will be remastered and uploaded soon, as well as new material from Nursing Home 2009.

Lyrics:

Yankee Dildo
He’s such a manly man
Ya know he’s never gonna back down
He’s got the longest rod
Ejaculating bombs

He walked onto the beach
He saw he raped he came
The children light the fireworks, yeah
And Yankee Dildo smiles

Yankee Dildo
He’ll get your ass in gear
Tell you that peace is for queers
He’s never gonna stop ‘til they’re all dead
Stabbed with his erection

He walked onto the beach
He saw he raped he came
The children light the fireworks, yeah
And Yankee Dildo smiles

He blindfolds America with his cult of masculinity
Red, white and blue plastic cock worshipped likes a divinity
We’d all be better off if he was dead
Cleansed when misogynistic homophobe blood is let
We’ll mark his tombstone with a mutilated dove
Fertilize the flowers with our shit and cum
Goodbye Yankee Dildo may your death bring peace for all
And may all the flames of hell rise up to greet you as you fall

He walked onto the beach
He saw he raped he came
The children light the fireworks, yeah
And Yankee Dildo smiles

pretty fucked up dude.

Cool. Thanks. Other thoughts? What did you think of Generation Rx?

i would comment - but us “crotchety old men” don’t really think this shit is worth it.

Never before thought of the American flag as a phallic object before right now. I guess you get some points for that.

I think this is one of those times when you don’t have anything positive to say don’t say anything at all…

I’m not offended by negative opinions. I think most people now want bands to appear cool and like they’re not “trying too hard” or assume anything like this is meant to be taken dead-seriously or that I view myself that way. I hope that will changes because I like to do things on a ridiculous, campy level. And I think all of this Jesu, jeans-and-a-black-t-shirt-I’m-just-about-the-music is not who I am.

I’m endlessly amused by the phrase “Yankee Dildo is more personal.”

haha yeah I could see how that would be funny. Even more so if you know me personally and what my life has been like recently.

As opposed to what?

[laugh]

I think I’d wear a bag too.

comment, ftw.

lol. classic! lol.

EOT.

You know what I dig about you, voidhead? You embrace the cheese and aren’t afraid to call yourself out on your own bullshit.

That alone warrants a look at your new tunes.

Was it really? It’s quite dire when that is a “classic”.

Well I like to use camp in the visual aspect of what I’m doing. I like the shock rock aesthetic taken to a new extreme.

I think it’s boring how people are supposed to be humble and casual about their music now. Like “oh by the way here’s my new song…”

Like if you don’t care about it or if you’re too cool to have fun with your music then why should I care about it?

Let me know what you think of the music man.
