i normally hate bandwagon teams like the lakers, red sox, yankees, habs etc. i think i take exception to the cubs because of that massive drought their fans deserve this win

Me too. I dont particularly care for baseball but i watched the last three games and yeah i was rooting for the cubs, only because of their draught. They can go back to losing now, and ill go back to ignoring baseball

I’d guess that quite a few of the 40 million people who watched game 7 would say it’s the best game they ever saw. Followed the Cubs all year, all my life really, and it’s up there with the “Sandberg Game” in '84.
Happy with the outcome. It could have easily gone either way. A fitting end to a remarkable season.

I was in it a little only because my train station is at Randolph and Michigan. This morning wasn’t too bad, however when I left for home around 2 I’d never seen so many people in the Loop. It was chaos. It’s being reported that the crowd numbered 5,000,000.
