hehe, nice one.
lol, abortour. great. get on slsk, search around this forum, there are couple threads devoted to it, get the usernames, message the dudes there and you might find couple of good soundboard boots from 82-83.
i dunno… al’s pop shit makes me sick, but having heard the live tracks, they sorta made me enjoy them to some extent, simply because al and the band pulled them off really well live and gave the songs a different voice…
still…
it’s gay [:P]

Hey! What’s wrong with being gay, dude? [mad]
heh. i don’t think with sympathy is gay. it’s just… cute. and fun.
Gay? Abortion? No way if not a couple of tracks here and there! I love the album, it’s one of the only depressing albums that’s happy and fun at the same time! Fits my mood perfectly. If there are still any early 80s Ministry fans out there, that’s one of THE albums that got me through high school and college, along with NIN Pretty Hate Machine/Downward Spiral, Tupac’s 2Pacalypse Now!, and Biggie’s Ready To Die. Anyways, soulseek name is coldloif86, I have lots of rare Ministry tracks from the 81-88 era! Oh, the sounboard recordings I have from the Cold Life/WS era are the Detroit 82’ bootleg and the Chicago 82’ bootleg.
[:)]Thanks for the posts.
From what I’ve heard from that era (Detroit 82) the live versions have more of an edge to them whereas the album can get a bit slow towards the end.
Anyway the nice chap Christonbun has hooked me up with some great tracks which I am very grateful for.
I have gained more of an appreciation for the early 80’s stuff as time goes on. When I was back in my LOUD GUITARS phase, buying With Sympathy was quite a letdown though. A crushing blow to my angsty 16 year old self [;)]
“That pouty guy CAN’T be Al, thats gotta be that drummer guy, right? RIGHT? It’s ALL that drummers fault!”
stephen george rules too. the last thing they did together was probably all day/halloween stuff.
