With Sympathy japanese translation

So, I dug up the Japanese vinyl release for With Sympathy, which includes a lyric book.

It is hard to understand what the hell Al is saying in some parts, but some of the lyrics listed are FAR off and sometimes rather funny/offensive, like these:

What Shay Jones sings “I knew the perfume in your hair just wasn’t mine” is translated as “I knew the first tooth in your hair just wasn’t mine”

“There’s a slap in my face as I’m opening her letter” is translated “There’s a slap in my face as I mope the n***ger laughter” (I kid you not on this one, released by Arista in Japan!)

“Then I realized they’ve been striking at me since the middle of last night” is “Then I realized they’ve been striking at me since the middle of red nitrate”

These are the most obvious/funniest, although I can post all of them if you guys are interested. [:)]

The jokes on you. The Japanese lyrics are the correct ones.

It’s a shame With Sympathy isn’t more popular…otherwise, this could be the start of a lovely new Internet meme along the lines of “All your base” or some such! Especially the “I mope the N***** laughter” bit!

Any chance you could scan those lovely lyrics and send 'em to Afra or Bisquit to post for novelty purposes here?

Sure, I can upload some scans next friday

“I knew the first tooth in your hair just wasn’t mine”
