willie nelson's birthday

he only wrote my favorite song. “crazy” sung by patsy cline. go to hell people.

he indeed wrote crazy.i played that song for my kids when Paul was on tour.and they know the lyrics.those kids are well schooled in fantasy.

I’m not sure why you’re telling us to go to hell.
I love Willie Nelson.

I tend to say the butt ugliest things. who knew?

rev_scarekrowe person, you are a gem.

He seems really angry lately, for a while now he’s been posting really irritated posts. you alright buddy? you used to be really mellow. Now you seem different the last couple months.

I love Willie. His voice is so soulful and his lyrics are just pure emotional honesty.

My two faves are probably “Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground” and “Pancho and Lefty”.

His rendition of “Rainbow Connection” can drill a hole in my heart as well. I always love his movie cameos too (like in “Lost Boys”). Just an all around great artist who seems like he’d be a super dude in person too (I’ve never had the honor, though.)

Willie smokes a lot of weed. Explains all. Seriously, he is an American gem. Never met him either.

I thought it was great when Willie had the feds on his butt about back taxes, and his property was confiscated and his friends bought it all back at auction.Nice to have such friends. I and Paul have such friends too. Get it, crazy person?

Yeah, there’s been a few times I half expected a hand had come through the screen and smacked a few peeps. Maybe just caught ya on bad days. Hope all is well.

Sometimes peeps need smackin’.

Everyone needs a good smacking. All lipstick jokes are good.

The Highwaymen supergroup with Waylon, Willie, Kris and Johnny may be my favorite supergroup of all time. I listened to that album on repeat when driving out to CA. “I was a highwayman!”

[gerda] I was on the phone with Willie Nelson the other day, his voice is like a lion man. I always eat soup when chatting with Willie, I mean what else are you supposed to do? fuck you people and stalkers if you can’t wear the chaps stay out of the stable. and I mean you[/gerda]

Willie did a CD with Johnny Cash, all acoustic songs of each others works, came out like 10 years ago. It was really nice. I grew up on country music and always liked both.

My dad also met him, and Willie was even nice enough to buy him a cup of coffee. Humble guy.

I like both of them too. I’ve not heard of this album and would love to get it. What’s it called?

Sorry, but I gotta [laugh]

VH1 Storytellers.
It’s great - at the beginning they’re both sort of nervous and not really sure what they’re supposed to be doing, but by the end you feel like you’re just sitting in a room with a couple of old friends as they swap stories and play songs.
The version they showed on TV is a little longer, but I don’t know if there’s a DVD.
