I’ve listen to hanful of albums of them so far, the very first one till Dark side of the spoon, and it’s probably a me thing but I would really like to know why so many people say Psalm was truly Ministry’s peak, I’m not too big on that album personally i find it rather weak compared to the one’s that came after that one and I would really like to know other folks opinions on it. And maybe I’m just missing some context or because I’m not too crazy about metal in general
Commercially. I think the clear highlights were Rape/Mind because of the colossal shift in sound that sparked a whole new genre. Also theyre just way more creative from a production and topical matter.

Yeah, I mean you can argue about the qualities of the various eras all you want, but Psalm 69 was probably their highest selling album of all time, hence the distinction of being their biggest album.
Sphinctour period.
Track for track those versions are stronger and superior to the studio versions.
In addition to Psalm 69 going Platinum in the US (over 1 million copies), I think JBMH went Gold as a 12" single, and the band was a top draw for the 1992 Lollapalooza festival.
