Hey all. I’m new here, so please let me know if this has already been discussed.
I’m wondering if there’s anybody on this site who knows the specific track-by-track personnel on some of Ministry’s albums. I’m always interested in knowing who played on what, especially when there are two drummers (Filth Pig) or multiple guitarists (Psalm 69, The Last Sucker). Usually I assume that whoever wrote the track (according to Wikipedia, because the booklets rarely give specific writing credits, apart from TMIATTTT and Rio Grande Blood on…), but sometimes that’s not enough (the Greatest Fits compilation contradicts this rule in a number of places…)
The albums I am referring to are…
TLORAH
TMIATTTT
ICYDFLSU (if possible)
Psalm 69
Filth Pig
DSOTS
and The Last Sucker.
The others list who plays what on each track. Twitch doesn’t do that, but you assume Al’s playing whatever’s not listed on that one.
Note that this applies to the RevCo albums as well, apart from Cocked and Loaded.
Anyway, if anyone can give me some insight into who did what, that would be wonderful!
Most of the credits, as time went on, got more concise and specific on who did what - mostly after Filth Pig. everything before that (post 1986) was just MINISTRY IS and ADDITIONAL PERSONNEL with their instruments listed.
I would also like to know who did what drums on Filth Pig…that’s about all I don’t know re: credits
Al Jourgensen wrote, performed , produced and arranged everything, every instrument, every song.
There was some ‘fucking bassist’ involved at one point, but his contribution was minimal at best, I think he was just there to make Al feel better about himself.
I think some Scottish guy screamed ‘TALK’ over and over again for 10 minutes on one of the songs.
