I saw a guy that looked like Chris Connelly break up with his girlfriend the other night. The unlucky lady looked rather elderly, so I wonder if he was severing ties with a friend or a relative, but overhearing the whole thing go down was quite the “BOOM BOOM SURPRISE!”

I dreamed there was a new RevCo lineup with Maynard James Keenan on vocals, but there was no actual band - he just played to a prerecorded music track - so it sucked.

Hey everyone. Thought I’d say thanks for all the recommendations for our trip to chicago.
The wife and I are staying a block from michigan avenue.
Our flight was delayed twice out of SFO yesterday, so we got in at 11:00 pm
And checked in to our room and immediately headed out to “Berlin” to catch what was left of wax trax night. Had a great time and was happy to learn some bars and clubs stay open until 4:00 am!
Today we wil begin exploring the city before heading to see the cure tonight. Unfortunately it’s the hottest day of the year, so wish us luck!

Some bars will be open until 5 tonight. I’d recommend heading over to the Cobra Lounge for the O’Banion’s reunion. It’s only about a mile north (Fulton & Ashland) of the UIC Pavilion, and just a couple of miles west of the Loop. O’Banion’s was the epicenter of Chicago punk back in the late 70’s/early 80’s. I’ve attended quite a few times over the years and it’s always fun. Can’t make it tonight though. Had Cure tix myself for tonight but have a scheduling problem so I won’t be attending either the show or the reunion.
