Hey, just wanted to say that this is one of the better internet forums I’ve encountered… mostly intelligent people, mostly mature, intelligent dialogue, etc etc,
But I haven’t been posting here nearly as regularly as before… I’ve said my peace about how I feel about Ministry in it’s current incarnation (abomination) and discovered lots of old classic non-album recordings on the MP3 section…
But seriously, when Ministry is finally laid to the ground (should have been done a long time ago) WTF is this board going to be about?!?!
I mean we have the people that love to masturbate over Jesu (don’t get me wrong, they are dope), the idiots that listen to thrash/industrial exclusively, the haterz, etc… Occasionally we talk about film or other music, but really… after Ministry dies will the prongs message board die?
I’d like to see it continue in some form, but it needs to branch out or somthin’… Ministry sucks now…NEXT! Old Ministry info… very cool, but where do we go from here?

As Tenohtwo pointed out, there will still be discussion. In fact, this board is not really reliant on Ministry, and therefore, will continue it’s business per normal. In fact, it may even get busier - who knows?
I figure the ministry talk will really start fading out soon enough. The US tour is over now, and he’ll be playing a few festivals out in europe. It’s basically over now and there’s not much to be said or done anymore. Whether people want to speculate on whether or not ministry wants to come back or not is one thing. But ministry or no ministry, I see this place surviving on regardless.
Maybe that new Revco will be Al’s last decent gift to his legacy… I’m not holding my breath but that one track sounded promising, certainly light years ahead of “cocked and loaded”.
It’s a better approach. C&L was Al with special guests, this one’s got a core band - and it sounds like Al’s taking on more of a producer’s role rather than a leader’s role.
I doubt it’ll stand up to BS&Q, of course, but I do have high hopes.
Hopefully no more songs like “Prunetang” on this one. Without Chris, Paul, and Luc, I’m once-again skeptical of new RevCo, but will certainly give it a chance.

I was skeptical too until the tour a couple of years ago. Now I’m a big booster of the new lineup. I think the Stayte guys are the best discovery Al’s made since the late '80s.
Here’s hoping they don’t prove me wrong.

Good question. When I bought the Stayte cd at the show, they included a postcard advertising the new album, but it never came out. They DID put out an ep several months ago featuring Mr. Paul Barker. grmpy talked to Josh at the meet & greet in whatever show he went to . Maybe he knows.

The L.A. Show on the 5th of May. Kinda fuzzy with the order of things BUT it goes like this. either Simple shelter is being released on 13th planet very soon and clayton is looking for a distributer to get the stayte album asap(which is why clayton wasn’t on tour he was back at the ranch polishing things with the CD and then shopping the album) or it’s reversed Stayte will be released on 13th planet and simple shelter is being …Blah blah… I’ll Ask Ms. Smrf when i get home she probably remembers better than I.
