Just wondering.
It’s all good (well, I was never a fan of “Hey Asshole”). I’m going to give this one to Pailhead because they had the most songs.
ptp, all three song by that name i like
of other side projects i really like one or two songs
If RevCo and Lead Into Gold don’t count I’m going with PTP.
PTP FTW!
All of 'em are fantastic. The cream of the crop, though, is definitely Pailhead, even though “Show Me Your Spine” is the best track on the entire collection.
Hard choice. I think I’m going with “Pailhead”, though. “I Will Refuse” is a friggin’ juggernaut!
I’m also going with Pailhead (With Lard a close second) Don’t really care for 1000 homo Dj’s (although I really like Hey Asshole, how can you not like that dust? it’s soo tongue in cheek!) Can’t stand supernaut.
Late,
grmpysmrf
i actually like LARD more than Rev Co (all incarnations)…
but as far as the album side trax goes, yeal i will have to agree that PTP is where it is at, followed CLOSELY by Pailhead…
that being said, i wish i could have heard the pailhead song that originally had chris connelly on vocals… i wish there was more of his industrial stuff out there. i really love his solo stuff, but his bark was fucking class.

wasn’t that a monster magnet cd or album title too?

It’s actually on this release the track is entitled Stick.
As for me I’ve always had a fondness for the Acid Horse songs. I’ve always thought that the blotter sheet that came with the 12" was a nice touch.
I Will Refuse is better than Stick.
Sorry, Chris.

haha i actually bought that cd a while ago… i guess i never read through the booklet closely enough… haha…
thanks!
i feellike an idiot now.
For me its ACID HORSE…That track from Robo cop is the Sh*t!..(Show me your Spine)…But the PTP tracks like Rubber Glove Seduction sound like it fits better with the Acid Horse stuff like Show me your spine then the other Acid horse song does…???
Definitely Pailhead from the side trax album, ‘I will refuse’ is insane. Hey Asshole annoys the absolute shit out of me every time, the only skipper on the record for me. ‘Show me your spine’ is excellent, and I adore the 2 Acid Horse mixes. Damn Side Trax is a tasty, tasty compilation.
‘Supernaut’ does the original justice, a tasteful update for the 90’s is how I can best describe it, I feel the same about Faith No More’s ‘War Pigs’, they are both covers we had to have.
Can’t say I understand the lack of Lard love around here, Jello’s crazy genius meets Ministry’s unrelenting industrial metal furrrrryyy; probably some of my favourite music ever. ‘Power of lard’ is a triumphant dada-esque masterpiece.

You are probably thinking of ‘Spine Of God’, an album that comes with my warmest possible recommendation. Get the 2006 re-release, but put it in the original case, for best results. (They tried to make the original [pencil drawn] cover look like it was made with a whiz bang graphics program and it is an absolute travesty, as embarrassing as anything Monster Magnet did post-2001 in fact).
I like all the side trax, though I agree with general consensus and put LARD in the bottom tier. My favorite is PTP, I love all three of those songs so dearly. Rubber Glove Seduction is my favorite industrial track to dance to at a club. “Tick Tick Tock I am the kitchen clock…”
I didn’t hear all of this until 2 years ago, but love it all for the most part. 1,000 Homo DJ’s and PTP are great.
I love Rubber Glove Seduction.
I always thought this was one of Al’s best
periods as far as the sheer amount of GOOD output
there was. LORAH had come out and blew my mind,
Fugazi had just formed, then "Pailhead"shows up.
I WILL REFUSE!!!
his best period? maybe… could be that it’s just another way of saying al’s bands as good as his collaboraters. and in these cases ones he couldn’t really boss around

Well, just my opinion of what I like.
Again, that’s MY opinion.
