What's there to do in Chicago at night?

The week after Thanksgiving I’ll be in Chicago for a conference. I’ll have the evenings off probably. What’s there to do there in the evenings? I’ll be near the Navy Pier I think. I’ll have to check the concert schedules when it gets closer.

You can start by avoiding Navy Pier…

Isn’t Chicago the murder capital of the USA ?

Isn’t Chicago the murder capital of the USA ?

I think that’s detroit.

It’s Santa Carla, California.

Every thing I have read has said its St Louis…

Keep your ass north of the Roosevelt stop and you’ll be groovy. Murders, shmurders, yes there’s a lot of them but quite frankly I don’t get my kicks in shady areas.

Lakeview and Wicker Park will net you a good time. Just my opinion. Hit me up when you’re here via PM, I’m down to hang!

Obviously, you should join me and deadguy for Thanksgiving. I’ve become his live-in housekeeper. The food will definitely be perfect because if I burn anything, there are whippings.

Oh you didn’t say all that. Well first of all, I hope you got insurance for the flight because chances of Mozz cancelling are always good. But I’m sure you knew that so let me stop being snarky…

You’re fine. You’re in a really yuppie area these days. The Riv looks kinda ran down outside, but it’s a nice venue. The red line…you’re off everything so no worries. Reckless Records and Kuma’s is off Belmont, love those places. Downtown and Wicker Park has a lot of cool shops, vintage, thrift etc. Worth it for kicks.

Weather should be nice too, but pack a good hoodie.
