What Would Make Your Perfect New Order CD?

Just been listening to a lot of 'em lately and decided to sit down and make my “perfect New Order” cd and wanted to see what you guys would choose. Keep in mind, ONLY New Order. No Joy Division. Mine wound up being :

Sunrise
Procession
Mesh
Lonesome Tonight
Ceremony
Regret
Broken Promises
Love Vigilantes
Way Of Life
Age Of Consent
Leave Me Alone
Dreams Never End
Your Silent Face

The first disc of the Substance compilation is already the perfect New Order CD.

Yup, Substance by itself (both discs) is nearly perfect.

But if I had to give it a go with a double disc compilation I’d overlook the most obvious mid 80s hits and focus on the b-sides and more obscure tracks:

-In a Lonely Place
-Ceremony (assuming these first 2 count since they were originally sung by Ian–but they’re on Substance so I think they qualify)
-Dreams Never End
-Procession
-Everything’s Gone Green
-Hurt
-Mesh
-Your Silent Face
-Temptation
-586/Blue Monday/The Beach
-Thieves Like Us
-Murder
-1963
-Elegia
-Let’s Go
-Fine Time
-Don’t do it
-Best & Marsh
-The Happy One
-World In Motion
-Regret
-World
-Spooky

Nothing after Republic–that material is all utter crap. They should never reformed in the late 90s and kept their legacy intact!

1963 (original mix)
Round & Round
The Perfect Kiss (12" mix)
Touched By The Hand of God
True Faith (single remix)
Subculture
Shellshock
Blue Monday (original 12" mix)
Thieves Like Us
Regret (New Order mix)
World In Motion
Bizarre Love Triangle (12" mix)
Age of Consent
Temptation

The “Electronic” side project with Johnny Marr and Neil Tennant is also a favourite.

Bizarre Love Triangle. No doubt there best track.

I think most of Substance is horrible. Remaking great songs and adding female backing vocals. Puke. Stick to the originals!

Why wouldn’t you withdraw both posts from the thread? You are slackin,DJ…

Give it another seven months and he will
