Since we all have an eclectic taste in music, I thought I’d share some stuff I did years ago (10 to be exact). Here are a few MP3s of some things that I like and don’t like that I did.

This something that was recorded live (on a tascam 4-track) at a practice we had. I wrote the song, sang, played guitar. There was also a second guitar player on this one (he plays the second solo).

This was a fun one. I recorded it in a studio in college. The “samples” you hear are actually a hand-held tape recorder, and was put to tape in one pass. (In 94, there was no way in hell I could afford a sampler). I wrote the song, recorded it, manipulated the mini-tape, and played guitar.

This was one that was recorded live at Woodland studios in Nashville. I later overdubbed the vocal and a second guitar at MTSU. It was supposed to be your basic “pop song”. I never was a big fan of the drummer’s stuff (he always seemed to want to get to flashy - while I was a 4/4 guy). I played guitar and did the vocals.

Lastly, this one was also recorded at Woodland studios in Nashville. It is completely live - no overdubs. Once again you can see that this one was mainly driven by my drummer at the time, but I did actually like it. I played guitar and co-wrote it.
Most of this stuff seems pretty out dated. But I had a great time doing it. Remember, this was circa 93 - 95.
