I know it’s Ian on the studio version. Was referring to the song that’s up for download. That can’t be Ian there. If it is, then damn, sure had me fooled.

Got the 1999 boot on heavy rotation right now.

I don’t think it’s Al either. Ogre?
Four Tet’s new album and the new Pangaea EP on Hessle Audio.
I was going to ask the same question. Al is clearly singing the “chorus,” but that ain’t him doing the verses. It doesn’t sound like McKaye either. Connelly toured with them after Lollapalooza was over, but that doesn’t sound like him either.
Nico - The End
(and the hairs on the back of my neck stand to attention)
Misfits - Legacy Of Brutality
(mostly for Theme For A Jackal…the best song he ever wrote)
The last few days I’ve just been caining Four Tet’s new album “There Is Love In You”…absolutely incredible stuff. A sublime album from start to finish.
You goddamned son of a bitch.
Marilyn Manson - ‘Smells Like Chlldren’
Sounding good. I put on his new one ‘High End of Low’ drunkenly hoping it wouldn’t suck as much. NO. It still did. So I had to put on a classic to remember the good times.
It’s very raw, ugly and totally fucked. The band is totally burned out but they have a contract.I mean it’s definitely one of the weirdest CDs on Interscope’s catalog.
Thinking of goth teens listening to “Fuck Frankie” in the nineties is amusing. I mean, a track called “May Cause Discoloration of the Urine or Feces” consisting of some woman talking to her ancient mother about blood pressure pills and the woman sounds like she’s about to croak amy minute. And between the weird interludes it’s a solid Industrial Rock record.
“Scabs Guns and Peanut Butter” is a really cool banjo solo and shows that Twiggy is the man. Has anyone heard Goon Moon. He actually has a credible stoner tock band, They are good shit. Never see discussion of Twiggy on here.
Nice combination of cartoonish sound scapes, samples, great drumming (Ginger Fish), programming (thanks Trent and Pogo…and whoever else), and the campier, but more fun, outline of the “Antichrist Superstar” perosna thst Manson would adopt next.
“Sweat Dreams” is incredibly overplayed blah blah. But a highlight for the band and a solid single. “I Put A Spell on You” is awesome though. Screamin’ Jay Hawkins does deserve more credit than he’s given and he was an awesome performer. The first shock rocker.
I don’t recall any discussion on this board of Arthur Brown and his “I Put a Spell on You” cover. “Fire” is awesome as well. Don;t know much more though…
A good Halloween album.
Marilyn Manson
Sissy.

I thought you loved that album?
Didn’t you throw a hisy fit when everyone started bagging it?
What don’t you like about it anyway?
(and I’m honstly curious and not taking the piss)
New album had a few moments imo. As compared to the Eat Me, Drink Me album, it’s a vast improvement. He’s done much better though.
Running to the edge of the world is pretty much the only decent track. don’t remember anything else except argma god dam mother… reminded me of mobscene and the new shit

Got a bunch of new records in.
Veil of Maya: “Common Man’s Collapse”
Godflesh: “Pure/Cold World/Slavestate”
Bodychoke: “Cold River Songs”
Wolf Eyes: “Burned Mind”
no. 4 - Stone Temple Pilots. Damn good album imo. Been listening to it almost the entire day.
Rob Zombie - Hellbilly Deluxe 2 - It’s better than Manson’s latest work, I gotta give it that.
Tool - Salival
