‘Her’ just about sums up Swans for me. It has everything you need to know about them. Not just in the variant music style but even in the dialogue. There’s something slightly ominous about the Charlie character she refers to but there’s also something sad/pathetic about her, describing the Atlanta pop festival that she didn’t make and the Grateful Dead concert thats coming up that she’ll also miss out on.
