Pig - EVERYTHING!
Ler I believe was in possessed, blind illusion, as far as the metal bands… he was in a side project called caca which was a zappa tribute band, and no forcefield which was silly electro stuff…
during the brown album days i remember their website had a link to a series of photos on how to make a drink called the klienfeld, which was just vodka and red bull… i think they were the first band to promote redbull and vodka…
people give them shit for the brown album and the brain albums, but i think they all were great…rhinoplasty was like misc debris part 2 and anti-pop had some fine ass tunes as well… even guests from james hetfield recording on les’ porch in the middle of a thunderstorm (as the story goes)… but as far as personal faves i’d go with tales from the punchbowl… great tripping music

OLD - Formula
I really dig Plotkin’s work, especially The Joy Of Disease and all of the Khanate stuff (…for those NOT in the know, OLD was made up of James Plotkin and Alan Dubin who were one half of Khanate).
I can’t recommend Formula highly enough. A shame that most people will never get the chance to hear it as it’s really one of a kind. Jesu fans will love it paricularly.

Yeah, more people here should check out Plotkin’s body of work, especially the Jesu/Godflesh/Scorn/Sunn O))) crowd. He seems to be ignored alot in favour of other like minded artists such as yr Stephen O’Malleys and yr Justin Brodericks.
I have only heard one OLD album, Formula and I have the Joy Of Disease Plotkin solo album. It reminds me of Scorn a bit. I know Plotkin played guitar on Scorn’s Evanescence and I really enjoyed that album.
Khanate is tough going though, even for a seasoned ‘noise’ veteran like myself. Torturously slow!!
scott walker. relentlessly. i suggested years ago to some friends, some of whom are here , that the lyrics to his songs that aren’t covers, seem like they’re written by somebody who doesn’t speak english.that’s what’s so awesome about that guy. over dramatic, overly involved in his own deal----oh. i’m having a gay moment again. godammit. i’m gay. pull out the rifles.
Scott 3 and Scott 4 are essential listening. Best enjoyed with a cognac and a cigarette whilst lounging by the fire in yr slippers on a cold winter’s eve.
Pig - EVERYTHING!
Ah, dammit… Now I HAVE to throw in “A Stroll in the Pork.”
[:)]
scott 3 and 4 in rotation. maybe that’s why i can’t sleep.
“Aliens” special edition CD; James Horner… Sampled scores…
A little Julian Cope. I love my Cope-y.
i met julian cope years ago, when he was in that rugged sheepskin fashion mode. decent one. teardrop explodes was a great band.forgot all about that era–til now.
Jizzwad, as far as I know it is still in print. It’s on the Varese Sarabande label. It’s one of my favorite Carpenter scores, much more felt than heard. The synths are very dark/wavish, very low key and brooding. Almost like John Carpenter doing an ambient album. Snag it if you can
Cut City - Exit Decades
Killing Joke - Democracy
Meat Beat Manifesto - Original Fire
Snowden - Anti Anti
Godflesh - Pure
Bowie/NIN - Live Bootleg
Can’t fucking wait for:
Cold War Kids - Loyalty to Loyalty (9/23)
TV on the Radio - Dear Science (9/22)
Jizzwad - now you know why Dirty Dave and JKB LEFT HoD.

its not bad for what it is, i guess that is all there is to say about it. its produced extremely well, thats for sure.
There’s some good stuff there, but some of it’s just a little boring.
Some asshole in the other room here gettin it on. I think its my bro or his friend. When im done with this post im gonna barge in like the police and interrupt thier little intercourse session.
Music wise im listening to a crap load of Nitzer Ebb and some Spetsnaz (nitzer ebb wannabee’s?) Maybe

[shocked]
Slipknot doesn’t do much of anything for me, except the “Mate:Feed:Kill:Repeat” album with the original vocalist.
“Do Nothing/Bitchslap” FTW.
Vile Evils.
16 Horsepower.
Scum of the Earth.
Emmylou Harris.
Marvin Gaye.
