“Dear diary
Today was a fine day
I got the music in my soul
I’m writing songs and making records
I feel my life is finally whole
I can’t wait to tell my father
To see what he will say
Peace and love diary

I have heard a few Zappa discs before, but this one is really great! Only heard first disc so far, but loving it.
Yes it is…Wait until you hear Act III. The trifecta of He Used to Cut the Grass-Packard Goose-Watermelon in Easter Hay is possibly one of the best stretches of Zappa music in his whole catalog. Easter Hay in particular is almost heartbreakingly beautiful, can’t say that about many Zappa pieces, haha.[/reply]
and any album that can make “fuck me you ugly son of a bitch” in reference to a robot (mind you this was the 70’s) deserves some sort of congressional RnR hall of fame medal of honor or something… I mean he fucks the robot… TO DEATH…
both stereo & mono beatles remasters are very nice. finally mono versions sourced from the master tapes and not the vinyl rips! but i want remixes (think “yellow submarine songtrack” and to a lesser degree “love”)
marvin gaye, what’s goin’ on. my kid , who heard this over and over last night finally said, “sounds like mercy me”.
score one for the education department.
the kid’s got a keyboard and a decent vibe. man.
Rhythm & Sound “King In My Empire”.
nice. sparse. can’t get enough of that in any genre. still love prince’s “kiss”, which some friends played on.
beautiful.
talked to someone else today who is doing some mixes, and the question was, “what do i fill this with” and i heard it and said, leave it alone.
