Completely lip syncing here.
While I can’t stand the lip syncing, and refuse to see a show with what is left of Ministry at this point because of it, I’ve witnessed Jourgensen actually croaking out JBMHR a couple times. It was bad. Real bad.
Does Al actually do vox anymore live at all?
The last time I saw them in 2022 (?), he was singing over vocal tracks. When they were playing the Pailhead songs, I could still very clearly hear Ian McKaye’s vocals. Singing over a vocal track allows little improv and other flourishes that make it sound “live”. The above video is purely Gibby’s vocal tracks from the recording.
I’ve never seen/heard 100% live vocals at any ministry show.
Animositisomina tour the drummer was clearly not playing but just hitting cymbals to fill in the sound and appear “real”.
Definitely seen different degrees of this at every ministry show, i don’t think al has denied it besides the usual sample tapes were always out front.
It is what it is, just entertain me.
The new Wet Leg album “Moisturizer” is really good and the sort of thing I feel some on here might like. Well produced aggressive indie-rock with female lead vocals.
Filter - The Algorithm (Ultra_Edition) 2025
1st 3 kiss albums on shuffle.
The 1st 3 Yngwie J. Malmsteen albums.
The NIN catalog. I’m seeing them live later in the month (can’t wait)
I’m going to both Brooklyn shows. You ever seen them live?
Nice, hope you have a great time! I’ve seen them three times over the years. I really like the format of this tour, breaking the songs into sections by style is pretty cool.
Awesome and great pics! I did one of the meet and greets on the 2009 tour. Trent is super nice, got The Fragile signed.
I woulda got PHM signed. I know he says he hates that album now, but man I love that album. It’s just so fucking good! and I know everyone loves all the shit from TDS forward, but for me that’s one of the most raw, fucking honest albums I’ve ever heard. my 16 year old self still loves that I like at my advanced age now ![]()
