I can’t say enough about the new 100 gecs album (“10,000 gecs”). It might not be to everyone’s taste, but it can honestly be said at 26 minutes not a single second is wasted. Imagine the Powerpuff Girls were given access to Ministry’s equipment, and Ween co-produced with Timbaland, and you’re not even close.
I listened to the first 3 tunes and although I like what I’m hearing the auto-tune signing is such a no for me.

I fucking ADORE Andy. I’ve seen him like 5 or 6 times when he decided to crawl out of his cave 10 years back for a few intimate shows. His solo stuff is absolutely amazing, and “Seven Days In Sammystown” is my favorite WOV album by miles.
Stan had a cool quirky cartoonish presence and delivery, but Andy really took the band in a more darkly soulful direction.
I love them both, but whereas Andy’s entire catalog is perfection, in my opinion, Stan has put out some stinkers. But that might be a bit unfair too since he’s put out so much and Andy is way more controlled and limited in what he releases.

Probably one of thee most important releases.

That Creatures box set looks pretty cool from the pics I saw…loads of stuff on that thing…that is definitely the heaviest album they ever did,imo…always thought it funny that Ace is on the cover but didn’t play a single note on it…

I bought it cheap from a local record store who had some copies they couldn’t sell.
Creatures is not my favorite by a long shot. It has some ok moments but I’ve always found it has a certain ‘I don’t know what’ about it that turns me off.
But I’m something of a completist and thought it would make a worthy addition to my collection.
I like Creatures alot but not my favorite…that would probably go to the first one or Rock n Roll Over…
Oh and I’m one of the 15 people who like Music From the Elder…Kiss goes Prog and it’s goofy as shit: sign me up!!!

Yeah I’m a big fan of Bob Ezrins approach to production and so I always dug that album…it was kind of universally derided for so long but it seems there has been a ground swell of people coming around to it…kind of like people have done with Black Sabbath Born Again(which I’ve loved since day one) and some others I could mention… But yeah you can to way worse that Elder in the Kiss catalog…
