Godflesh-Hymns
Deftones -White Pony
Coil-Black Antlers

Good choice. I like Godflesh better with live drums as opposed to machine.
Been meaning to check it out. I’ll give it a listen soon
Waking the neighbors up this morning with a little Prong before I go out and shovel snow.

It’s actually MIKE VALLELY… he was a top pro skater in the 80’s / 90’s, and I know he did some movie work too (“Mall Cop” is the only one I can name, though, haha). He’s also a straight up murder machine when it’s time for fightin’ (there’s an awesome video on YouTube of him taking out like 5 cocky brodawgs who made the mistake of fucking with him).
I’ve not heard how he sounds, but regardless of his voice, I think he’d be a good fit. He’s got a scary intensity, so I suspect it would kinda have that Rollins era FEEL to it at least.
I’ve been listening in the car for a couple of weeks, PiL- Hawaii.
Priest- new flesh via mp3.
Wanting to listen to the 1st 2 cars albums though.
Um, how? I looked everywhere, couldn’t pirate it, couldn’t buy it.
Amazon, baby! Comes with the free rip too if you buy the cd. Its really fucking good!!
Meshuggah - Obzen
Cabaret Voltaire - Micro Phonies
Cliff Martinez “Touch of Crude” soundtrack
Matlock- coffee and Cannabis
I jumped into Captain Beefheart’s TROUT MASK REPLICA again tonight. This time I was really diggin’ it. It’s got a really distinct vibe which is uncomfortable and deranged, but what was really hitting me too was how brilliantly FUNNY the whole thing is. The lyrics/poetry are hilariously clever and crude and I found myself laughing out loud in the gym (I was listening on headphones while cycling).
Yeah sounds like you get what I love about Trout Mask…I’m telling ya,man the more you listen to it the better it becomes…

Were you able to score this yet?
No, and I’m not going to. I’m going to be snobby. Let me explain.

Amazon states that this CD is an “on-demand CD-R.” That sounds kinda bogus. If I’m going to shell out for physical product in this day and age, I’m going to need more to go on than that ominous warning.

Amazon’s MP3s are mostly VBR. I hate VBR.
So I’ll wait. It’ll surface somewhere. I’m not dying for it.
