Curtis Mayfield - “Superfly” Soundtrack.
Hanoi Rocks-Oriental Beat
VAN HALEN - FAIR WARNING
Sinners swing has got to have the best drum fills ever.
Just an all around hard ass record.
The Who - It’s Hard. Heard it for the first time today. Was shocked by “Eminence Front” – I’d heard it before but had no idea it was The Who. Great shit.
Van Halen’s darkest record…has always been my desert island VH pick…Dirty Movies makes me want to jump through a window…
Lard - The Last Temptation of Reid
I’ll be listening to this album regularly until I eventually keel over and die. The first five tracks are among the finest work Al and Jello ever made, be it with Ministry or the Dead Kennedys or whatever. Strong statement, but I’ll die on that hill.
My favorite VH , just a great lp
I got your back on that hill.
You think they’ll ever put out anything ever again?
The Last Temptation of Reid is solid, now need to spin it again soon, though I did a while back.
As for new Lard, Al has mentioned it several times, but just don’t see it happening. Though I could be wrong. Dead End Streets and Viagra Culture from ‘Cocked and Loaded’ are probably the closest things to new Lard we’ll ever see.
I doubt it. Pure chewing was barely good and 70s rock is awful. I hope they don’t
