What are you listening to right now?

Yes, QB…

I’m not familiar with that one. where’d it come from?

Neil Young
Cypress Hill
Korn
The Replacements

It says it’s from “Homegrown Cuts”.

What’s that?
Even Google turns up nothing.

Yeah, I’ve not found anything online or on YouTube either.
I’m wondering if it is some DIY 3rd party remix or something.
I’m watching the updates on this thread, though, hoping for some additional insight.

REVCO - perhaps you can take some pics of whatever you found it on (or screenshots if it’s an online thing). There’s definitely a lot of curiosity. You may have found a hidden artifact, haha!

Yeah " homegrown" might imply some 3rd party did it from their bedroom…

Grab it and let me know what u peoples think.

Sounds legit to me QB.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - The Last Flight (Osaka 1977) Live

Thanks REVCO!

I’m going to say that this is fan-made. What do you guys think?

I feel weird about listening to Skynyrd these days, with all of the reconsidering of the Confederate heritage they openly embrace. Pantera is guilty of it too. I guess fuck it. I’m still a Kanye West fan, after all…

What slack said.

Stupid character limit.

I was thinking that too. I’ve done enough recent research and I think they did have a sense of the late 60’s movement (free movement) and that maybe they weren’t that prejudice of peoples but I see they wanted the bullshit of heritage crap. They certainly craved out a special sense of music up to 1977.

I think it’s a fan-mix too.
Not that it sucks or anything.

Up until a few years ago the confederate flag could be used as a general “fuck you” symbol of rebellion. Went well next to skulls and middle fingers and shit.
People are more uptight these days. In a few decades expect a new generation of punks to come along using anti-PC words and symbols like this just because it shocks and offends Grandma and Grandpa Millennial.

Skynyrd as people and a band never embraced the political side of the confederate flag, the record company pushed the flag on stage during freebird.
The most perfectly performed live show I’ve ever seen is skynyrd on freebird the movie (must see).
And is actually being re released in april uncut called live at knebworth '76.
All the tracks here are superior to the studio versions and on blu ray!
Absolute must see show, all day festival opening for the stones.
No special effects, no tapes, not even pedals, no sustain, it’s a bar band set up on one of the biggest stages.
Ronnie was one of a kind, remarkable, imagine all the skynyrd tracks in their catalog, all written by ronnie but never written down…all by memory from day one, like ronnie said, if it ain’t worth remembering it ain’t worth singing!
Also coming out on double lp.
Had the blu ray and double lp preordered the same day/hour blabbermouth announced it.
Definitely the best most perfect live show ever recorded.

I have a hard time believin’ that. You ever look at the lyrics to Sweet Home Alabama? If the confederate flag was an updated poppy song from the 70s it would be Sweet Home Alabama.
Talks about governor wallace being “his” governor and he’s fine with the criminal acts of Nixon with watergate.
