I got into a convo with some guy at a local bar a few weeks ago…he was telling me how much he liked Kansas but that he didn’t like AC/DC at all…my reply was “yeah, maybe this rock n roll thing isn’t for you”…
HAHAHAHAHA!!! Perfect response.
Hahaha…it was such a drag too cuz up to that point I really was having a great convo with the guy and that statement just took the air out of the room…I just couldn’t take him seriously after that…
All these supergroup cover bands that have been going up all over Youtube since the pandemic started.
I went through an AC/DC phase in September and now, with the new album, I’m back in. I have to say that after slowly collecting all of the work the band has done with Brian Johnson, it’s safe to say he’s a perfect replacement for Bon. In fact, I think some of the post-Bon albums (especially “For Those About To Rock,” which is a treasure trove of A+ deep cuts) have a lot to offer.
Yeah For Those About to Rock has always kind of lived in the shadow of Back in Black but I think they are on an equal level…I also think Flick of the Switch is underrated too although not as good as the 2 before it(hard to top Mutt Lange production )…I saw them on the Fly on the Wall tour…Yngwie “Unleash the fookin fury” Malmsteen opened up…great show but that album is a mixed bag…all the Bon stuff is gold…
I saw that tour…great fuckin show. I like fly on the wall…
