[reply][reply][reply] I used to think “Hey Stoopid” was the barrel bottom because I REALLY hated that dumb title track
I love that song! Alice with Slash, you can go wrong with that pairing [:)][/reply]
“can go wrong”?..Freudian slip[;)][;)][/reply]
Hahaha, fucking hell. I’m tired, i make mistakes when i’m tired!![:)][/reply]
The funny thing is, you certainly CAN go wrong with that pairing.
They worked together again on “Along Came A Spider” and that album is so dull I never bothered to purchase it.
Certainly not one of the stronger ones. But not completely terrible. “Vengeance is Mine” (the one with Slash) is probably the only song at all memorable on it, to Slash’s credit. But perhaps this rather generic song is only made memorable by the weakness of the other tracks.
“Along Came A Spider” is an album that I really wish I liked more because I think it has a cool concept and the cover design is pretty rad too. But, yeah, overall it’s pretty soft.
Not a fan of that one either…and I don’t really give a shit about Slash hence my “freudian slip” comment…I like when Alice does Alice without all the outside noise…

Agreed on that. Hollywood Vampires can take a flying leap.
There are three original songs - two on the first version of the album, one on the recent “deluxe edition” (four if you count the intro track of Christopher Lee reading from Dracula).
GHOST - “Cirice” - I bought this album almost a year ago when I found it mispriced at Best Buy for $1.99. I saw Ghost a week ago in Mexico and dug out my CD which I’d really not listened to much . . . . it’s a GREAT album. I really like this band for the same reason I love a lot of Danzig’s work . . . the juxtaposition of melodic, pretty, and romantic stuff with some real dark heavy riffs and rock . . . it’s an interplay that just really makes some tasty and powerful songs. I see this band get a lot of flack on various metal boards and FB and such and I just don’t get it. They’re one of the ONLY truly fresh sounding bands that I’ve come across in a LONG time.
DANZIG IV - Well, I listen to Danzig all the time, but this album has been in my car’s player for the last couple days. It’s one of my favorites. I can listen to this album start to finish and not skip a track (unless you count the stupid 15-65 filler tracks before it gets to #66 which is Glenn doing some weird Satanic prayer thing. Anyway, this album is dark as Hell and really cool. The tracks are all so varied and uniquely different from one another. There’s crushing rock, jazz, crooning, metal . . . seriously, it’s a fun ride and I’d recommend it for any of you jerks that still don’t listen to Danzig.
