Jethro Tull - Thick As A Brick
VA - Dark Was the Night
Wumpscut - Schadling

can’t believe anyone would listen to jethro tull , but ok.
i actually saw them once. and "it’s a beautiful day."that show was pretty cool.
there’s a bunch of talk here on prongs about eno and everything after, and i can’t stand anything eno is doing currently, and i hate the collaboration with david byrne.
i love eno, but in spurts, music for airports, and such. i didn’t know he did the music for jubilee, the movie, since seeing it (the movie) recently.

My thoughts exactly!
the “Thick As A Brick” title has always reminded me of a few constipated shits I have had!!

Feel the same way about Marilyn Manson.

Makes me laugh uncontrollably.

I’m with you on the Manson thing, but Jethro Tull ownz, come on guys!

FLA - Hard Wired
I always picture a huge war of Terminators owning each other when i listen to this.

I think some of you guys are making knee-jerk reactions to Tull without really knowing what you’re talking about. “Classic rock!? Eeewwww!!” Maybe you ought to LISTEN to thick as a brick before making shit jokes about it.

That said, the point is now moot as I’m currently listening to Warp’s Artificial Intelligence comp.

re: thick as a brick…

i think its cool a lot of us have varied taste. it’s the heart of our culture here - IMO. Do your thing REV.

Killing Joke: ‘Brighter Than a Thousand Suns’

Pigface: “A New High In Low”

Had the three-disc reissue of “ANHIL/Below the Belt/Eat Shit, You Fucking Redneck” for a while now, but I just scored the original ANHIL yesterday and the second disc is crazy.

Indeed. The original comes with a second disc that’s got three lengthy numbers: “Howler: An English Breakfast (Chapter 1, Part 1),” “Train,” and “Howler: An English Breakfast (Chapter 1, Part 1),” which basically consist of Genesis P-Orridge spoken word over crazy, crazy noises.

Good stuff.

N.A.S.A. - The spirit of Apollo… truly a magnificent cd worth going out of your way to get ASAP while the stores still got it on sale… (if your the buying type)

Current 93 - The Inmost Light

Hey, I’ve got that on (pt. 3) right now as well.

Killing Joke: ‘Hosanna’s…’

Yes, I’m going through a KJ phase. I recently heard Fear Factory’s cover of ‘Millenium’… what a pointless cover, even more pointless than Static X’s version of ‘Burning Inside’. ‘Millenium’ is too good to cover but then again FF were just rip off merchants really.

I’ve also just read that Jaz is “resident composer” for the European Union… he was always one of the more interesting characters in music. [laugh]

your mom moan in ecstasy.
