What are you listening to right now?

Peter Murphy - Recall

I love the version of indigo eyes on this cd.

right now i’m listening to the melvins/lustmord cd
and the gibby haynes solo cd which is just found out existed… talk about being out of the loop on that one.

Blasting Dessau’s s/t at full volume. Best birthday present (to myself) EVER.

Here at the PUBLIC library, there are loud people gabbing, stoned teenagers mumbling next to me (heh, you’re going to have short-term memory BRAIN damage–kinda like early Alzheimers. Think about that!), and a police officer just drifted on by.

Why can’t people be quiet in a library?

Where are their manners?

And when I go down to my car, it will have water in the power steering fluid (unusual for a 56,000 mile like-new LEXUS), causing it to make a squealing noise until the water is evaporated–at which time it will purr like the Japanese egg-head car it is.

goodbye.

Sounds like some “Sweet Stuff.”

Wow, this usage of Click Click tracks as double entendre is the nerdiest “HeadF***” that I’ve seen anywhere ever.

Borghesia: “Escorts and Models,” which is slowly becoming one of my favorites. How the hell can you not love the epic viciousness that is “U Crnom” and “Goli, Uniformirani, Mrtvi”?

HOT TRASH!

Also, I just splurged on a fuckload of records, and I’m eagerly awaiting them.

Lead Into Gold: “Age of Reason,” “Chicks & Speed: Futurism” (Finally found them for reasonable prices in excellent condition!)
Ministry: “The Fall/Reload” (One whole penny on Amazon)
Dessau: “Excersises in Tension,” “Details Sketchy”
Klute: “Excluded” (I’ve had this on mp3 for a long time, but missing a couple tracks)
Otto’s Daughter: “A New Kind of Heroine” (Been a fan/supporter of this band for a long time now, but it’s been forever and a half since I bought one of their discs)

[cool]

Wow, I haven’t thought of that Borghesia album in years and years. I do pop on “No Hope No Fear” every now and again but haven’t owned a copy of “Escorts and Models” since the mid-90s. Now I must hear again! Thanks for the reminder I_M.

Word?

Yeah, you definitely owe yourself another listen. “No Hope, No Fear” is pretty dope, too. That mix of “133” is pretty cool.

Apparently, the song “Discipline” off “Resistance” was sampled in KMFDM’s “More & Faster,” which I found hard to believe, but does sound suspiciously so.

Respect.

Ministry: “The Fall/Reload” (One whole penny on Amazon)

Always dug this version of Reload where near the middle it has that little breakdown to just the drums and Al’s vocals.
