Watching the idiots dancing behind the DJs is a disturbingly fascinating experience. Can’t look away.

I finally gave David Lynch’s crazy clown time a listen.
Its alright. I wish I liked it more.

Also listened to a live album by High on Fire. Also just alright. Theyre performing at a live show for free out here in a few weeks, and while I didnt manage to secure confirmed entry, I will probably still show up. And walk out.

Have you seen them live before? I’m not too bothered about listening to their records, but I’ve seen them live twice - 2006 and 2013 I think - and both were really great shows. Last time was weird because hardly anyone was there, but they still had a real buzz and sounded great. I liked the Richard Pryor t-shirts too.

I may have seen them a couple of years ago, but it didnt stand out enough for me to be sure. If i’m around, I’ll try to make it to the free show (coverse rubber tracks) in my area.

Recently I’ve been listening to the Offspring’s ‘Ixnay on The Hombre’ and thinking about trying to see them in Vegas. The closest show to where I live is an hour away and on a work day. Their setlists leave a lot to be desired, but I always have a lot of fun at their shows.

They are an excellent live band, i saw them a couple of times supporting Metallica, and even in a shortened set they brought a lot of weight to the show and the audience really enjoyed them.

I hear they’ll be playing Smash in it’s entirety on the next tour. Pennywise is supposed to be there too if you’re into them.

Yeah, they are currently touring Smash with Pennywise, Bad Religion, NoFx, etc.
Aside from the album, i wasnt too amazed with what else is on the setlist so I’m not sure if I still want to go.

Interpol.

[Las Vegas keeps calling my name: One of the few Stokes shows is in Vegas, with Interpol performing the next day. Oh god. It doesn’t help that Interpol GA tickets for my nearest venue are sold out…]

Interpol.

I used to absolutely love Interpol, but I kind of lost interest after Antics. Anything after that just didn’t sound as good… not really sure why. I was rather disappointed by them live too. Only saw them once in 2003 but I found them a bit dull… far too neat and tidy… does that sound right? But yes, Turn On The Bright Lights - what a record.

I’ve been listening to a bunch of Sisters Of Mercy this week. Weird band. Some stuff is really quite awful, but there are odd moments of genius in there.

Listening quite a bit to these guys the last few days:

Good stuff.

I saw them a few years back, and felt the same. It couldve been the crowd and choice of songs.
I do enjoy the majority of their catalog (incuding songs off of the last release) and REALLY just need to see a show I can sing along (and feel better) with.
Weird, long story short, a work restraining order I had requested didnt go through :frowning: thus my recent constant of I-should-take-a-trip-I-need-to-get-the-fuck-away-from-here.
I’m REALLY looking forward to Chicago/ coldwaves next month.

King Creosote - From Scotland With Love Sound Track.

Awesome stuff…this tune in particular is great…
