I can’t recommend Dear Science from TV on the Radio enough. I should be sick of it now since it’s yet to leave my car cd player from late September. IMO their best album yet from a band that’s put out nothing but quality music so far.
Also been listening to Black Moth Super Rainbow, In Flames, Underworld, VHS or Beta, Faith No More.

I laughed when I heard Porno for Pyros come on; I haven’t heard that album in 13 years. The N.W.O to Halloween transition was also amusing. I’d love to see the algorithm it uses to determine random playlists.

Great stuff. I have the Bruder Des Schattens album that has most of Nosferatu on it (but without Das Rheingold) and the tune from Fitzcarraldo (think it was used in My Best Fiend too).
I think the Aguirre soundtrack is the best they did for Herzog. Proper haunting music.[/reply]If you get the Kino “Project” DVD (the best you will find, visually, as they spent five years restoring it), they also recreated the original score from recovered sheet music…meaning we get to be the first audience to hear the way it was MEANT to be scored in over 80 years. And you know what? It’s awesome.
Also, big props for In The Nursery’s Dr. Caligari and Phillip Glass’ Dracula.
Went and saw my friend Oren (Ambarchi…the guy from Sunn O))) ) today and he sold a heap of shit half price as his store here is closing down. Stupid Aussie dollar!! Spent a lot of money though, as usual. Picked up:
Oren Ambarchi - The Pendulum’s Embrace (which he signed for me…aww shucks)
Kevin Drumm - Sheer Hellish Miasma
Boris - Boris At Last: Feedbacker
Sunn O))) & Boris - Altar (3 lp blue vinyl version…damn thing weighs a tonne)
Om - Live At Jerusalem (vinyl)
Threshold Houseboys Choir - Form Grows Rampant (Sleazy Christoperson project with bonus dvd)
Mauritzio Bianchi - Das Platinzeitalter
Jesu / Battle Of Mice - split ep (vinyl)
I will now officially have to sell one of my kidneys to make up for this, but it was worth it!!!
