What are you listening to right now?

Scott Walker - Bish Bosch

I like its weird heaviness

That’s a perplexing release.

I wanted to love it so badly - but it puts up one hell of a fight against being loved.

I get the feeling it’s weird for the sake of being weird. Does he actually have something to say?

I liked it, but at the end of the day, both The Drift and Tilt were so much more fulfilling.

“YEAH!”

Yeahfield is an agreeable sort

Diamanda Galas & John Paul Jones - The Sporting Life

The greatest album by any former Led Zeppelin member, period.

Tubeway Army - Replicas

I still have yet to pick up Army of the Damned or whatever it’s called.

I’m bumping the hell out of Lowe today. WTII put out a free sampler that has an extended version of their single “Mirage.” The band’s pretty much A-Ha or Talk Talk, but REALLY good at trying really hard to be those bands. I like 'em.

Actually, I was disappointed last time I saw them live. It seemed like they really wished they were just doing instrumental jams like when they play as Bakerton Group. I mean, do we really need a 3 minute syncopated cowbell duet?

They did kick ass opening for Manson in the '90s, though. Stormtrooper cut outs on stage years before Star Wars had become hip again!

I saw them several times in the 90’s and then saw them last in like 08 or something and they still burned with the same fire…are you talking about the tour where the organ was prominitely featured?I missed that one…

I don’t recall any organ, but I may have forgotten. The Sword was the opening act.

It’s been a southern Outlaw Country type of night for me. Even managed to sprinkle in some Buck Satan just for kicks. Buck Satan sounds pretty decent when shitfaced. Haha.

Whitey Morgan - Bad News
Roger Creager - Rancho Grande
