Yo Majesty
listening to MIA
and watching the BBC version of Neil Gaiman’s “Neverwhere”
I love Pure but is it just me or does Godflesh’s Streetcleaner need to be remastered? I almost always have to blast it to get some decent output from the sound…
yes the volume is pretty low on most of the early earache cds.

awesome. i pulled this CD out a few weeks ago myself when I was thinking about buying all of the “flu” sessions and the “from the vault” HILT stuff that just got released from SP.com (or their label - i’m horrible remembering names and numbers).
Killing Joke - Night Time (reissue)
I really like the guitars on this. 1002 was right - all the songs kinda have a constant sound - but its good. I’m enjoying it. Fav tunes (right now) are LOVE LIKE BLOOD and EIGHTIES. MULTITUDES is good but its sooo much like LLB i got confused if it was a reprise or what.
Night Time is hands down the best cut on that. Friggin awesome riff.
Ha!! Been listenin’ to ‘NightTime’ myself as of late.
It’s not their best album, but a decent blend of 80s goth, rock, newwave, postpunk. Kinda like a heavier, doomier version of The Cult or even early U2.
It’s still waaaaay better than ‘Extremities, Dirt…’ which I find wholly, astoundingly overrated. Barely a damn tune on the thing and yet faves rave about it constantly. The vocals and lyrics are particularly horrid and the production is threadbare at best.
Oh, and whoever said they’ve been listening to Quoit…sir, I take my hat off to you.
Didnt Nirvana steal the riff from Eighties? Fuck u Curt Kobain!
Im listening to Cyanotic - Transhuman 2.0
Rarely listen to Killing Joke anymore but must admit a bit of a fondness for their mid eighties period.
Recently been listening to ‘Brighter Than A Thousand Suns’ which I thinks doesn’t quite get the recognition it deserves despite having a couple of clunkers on it.
watching “rollerball” right now, so that be my soundtrack.
(what’s up with the jumpsuits anyway–yeah, i know. seventies cool)
Jesu: “Heartache”
TKK: “Crime For All Seasons”
Foetus: “Gash”
Love Like Blood, man that song helped me through some touph times.
Listening to most of the Pandemonium era Butterfly Records remixes. Trance-y.
