What About Us Single Question

I heard that they were gonna put this out as a single and this was gonna be the track listing -

What About Us
Paydirt
Dead Practice
Scartown
Scartown w/Anthem

Did that ever happen? Were those other songs ever released or were those just earlier titles to songs we already know?

Some, if not all, of those other songs became tracks for Animositisomina.

who is “they”?

who is “they”?

the record company

I don’t think that single version of “What About Us” ever came out. I have 3 different versions of that single and all of them are just that song.

Ty vocals

Parting with their longtime record imprint, Warner Bros. Records issued the collection Greatest Fits in 2001, which featured a new song, “What About Us?”. Ministry would later make a brief cameo appearance in the Steven Spielberg film [url “http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AI:_Artificial_Intelligence”]AI: Artificial Intelligence, performing the song. During 2000-2002, record-company (Warner Bros. Records) disputes resulted in the planned albums Live Psalm 69, Sphinctour and ClittourUS on [url “http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ipecac_Recordings”]Ipecac Recordings being canceled (although its contents had been compiled), resulting instead in Sphinctour appearing on [url “http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanctuary_Records”]Sanctuary Records.

I think we got one track from the Psalm 69 live album released. That being Scarecrow on the Lay Lady Lay single. As I’ve mentioned in another thread, I’m wondering about ClittourUS. Anyone have an idea of the track listing?

keyboard player was duane buford worked with c.connely/revco toured with ministry during fp/ darkside tour. someone tried to hook me up with his “baby’s mama” cause i’m a ministry fan and we are both black

it’s the exact same track as on “JUST ANOTHER FIX” (6-track live bonus EP for ‘austalasian’ tour edition of psalm69)

I was thinking the same thing but this threw me off:

Duane Buford: 1993-1999
Studio Work: Vocals on Linger Ficken Good
Live Work: Keyboards on 1996 and 1999 tours, Played Keyboards in AI

So should it say 2001?

Yeah. One of the many errors on that page. Still, it’s way better than when we started.

Anyone know what ol’ doooooooooooooo-waaaaaaaaaayney boy’s up to these days?

Well, not really it say’s played in A.I. and in '01 ministry was basically broken up as everyone had quit and joined marz and they had no record company. Al was full-on strung out then and i’ve had people tell me about him crashing on there floors and spending like 500 bucks a day on drugs. I think paul was fed up and A.I saved them.

What is Marz?

This is a really interesting period for the band. Tell us more gossip and details.

I want to hear more about the fucked up lives of the band members.

Like the story of Scaccia ratting on Al for dealing.

Yeah why exactly did Rey Washam leave? I almost wanna say it had something to do with Al using his drum trax on Prune Tang without crediting him but of course that RevCo song didn’t come out til 2006

Lack of payment? Didn’t leave gracefully. Think I saw somewhere that he did drum work for HOTM, but wasn’t even credited for it.

Marz was a rap/metal act… Zlatko Hukic worked with Ministry for a while, then recruited Rey and Luis Svitek. First album was decent. A lil whacky. Then he got all caught up with those Insane Clown Posse peeps and my interest dropped to zero.

Good stuff. I might have to track down this first Marz album, as I like just about everything with those three involved that I’ve heard. I’ll steer clear of the Juggalo nonsense, though.
