A Scott Walker/Paul Barker collaboration would be wild. Get Chris to help out, too. I know he’s a big Walker fan.
We are talking about the good Scott Walker, right? Not the Wisconsin one?

Wisconsin Walker is more Jourgensen territory.

Yo, Gerda, serious question-
from a chap calling himself ‘evil dildo’, no less-
is there any possibility of Flowering Blight becoming a live unit?
Don’t mean to piss in yer pockets, but some of the songs on the album would slay live.
Seconds on the Flowering Blight live. Unlike certain other people, Paul really has lived up to the classic Luxa/Pan answer of “Our best music has yet to be written”. I’d stack that album up with the old Ministry 80’s output anyday.
Some live Blackouts would be cool as well.

I really hate that my assface governor is tainting the good name of such a wonderful musician. Just got home from a meeting to freeze my salary, and next week I get to have meetings about how to cut my curriculum.
To all, yes, the real Scott Walker. On the other note,
I received a text from that tall guy when wisconsin elected their new governator. , “Guess who’s their new governor?” Funny, only because that name is a household fave. Even our kids like that guy. Then, the question for me, how to use this in my book?
Back to business. My laptop has been acting like a screaming pronger, and I need to walk. Excercize.
as someone who is a lawyer and has been schooled around the legal block, including labor history, the utter shit in wisconsin boils my brain. And I know “wis” pretty well having spent my summers bored==I mean, entertained reading books at Pell Lake and Lake Geneva .That (other) boy, Scot Walker ain’t right. Unions have kept that state alive forever, down to your grannie’s Rambler. . This will be a fight.
ps. couldn’t concentrate on writing ANYTHING while I was mesmorised by the photo renditions of the real “walkers”…nice. thanks. now I’ll have some juicy nightmares…

You think he’ll get shot before he has a chance to be recalled? I hope not cause you know the anti union forces will use that to show how violent the union is.

at least you still have a job. Rhode Island terminated 2,000 teachers in order to get around tenure. Didn’t know you were a teacher too.
Late,

A recall in Wisconsin seems likely. I don’t know how that works there. The voters voted that guy in. I’m completely scandalized that all of these states are now cutting where they shouldn’t. Education being the favorite. I guess if the border state governors get rid of all the illegals, then the poorly educated here can pick up the slack. Chilling, funny, and sadly maybe true. Funny how the proposed legislation in Texas to penalize employers for hiring illegals exempts domestic workers (housekeepers and nannies) and landscape workers. Who exactly has the cash for either? hm?
Ps. workin’ on my memoirs…oh, such fun . really. no. REALLY.
we’re fucked here in Michigan. Idiots voted in a former CEO, like that would be helpful right?
I can’t imagine anyone getting assassinated in Wisconsin, and I’d be incredibly disappointed if anyone was. Walker is a giant ass, but assassination? That’s crazy talk.
Yes, I’ll still have a job next year. I’m a young teacher, and I’ll survive in the long run. But this is bad for education in general. Gerda is correct; the proposals are mind-blowingly ill-conceived. (Thanks, Gerda!) The budget cuts send a huge message about the value of quality education. Admittedly, the Milwaukee Public School System is a mess and needs some drastic fixes, but the other districts (mine included) are strong and serve the students very well. We’re going to be losing reading specialists, losing free & reduced meal funding and Title 1 money for lower-class families, increasing class size which ensures that each student gets less attention… The list goes on. Every child should be provided with an enriching educational experience, and this bill does nothing to make that happen. Or to let it continue happening.
Oh, and Elricj, I’m sorry I haven’t read about all the nitty-gritty in Michigan, but from what I have seen I’m really sorry. You folks are getting hosed really hard.
Sorry for hijacking the thread.
