I can and I will! Bloody hound!
I didn’t put this one together but I will tell you guys from the tracks I have heard its a really good record. Its a remix record in that there is additional production, loops, arrangements and so on. However, it is VERY even and it really feels like a cohesive album that blends the Last Sucker with some really cool “old Ministry” type vibes. I think its definitely worth listening to. I like it a lot more than Rio Grande Blood/Dub and prefer it to The Last Sucker in ways as well. Do yourself a favor and don’t dismiss it just because you don’t care for “The Trilogy” or remix records in general. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
forget the fact of if we liked the trilogy or not, Bush has been out of office for close to a year by the time this comes out, and it’s been a while since he’s done anything really super mega shockingly douche-worthy. I mean, beating a dead horse may apply to the band itself, but also his whole anti-bush thing.

I appreciate you being here buddy, but that is pretty much your job to sell this record and what not isn’t it? You gotta good pitch! I’ll be buying it just cause I’m a compulsive al collector and can’t keep the collection incomplete! for the love of god make him stop before I go broke!! just kidding I usually get these things mega cheap from Amoeba or the ebay!

If AL really wants to do a cash grab that might actually bring a few $ into the corporate coffers, here are suggestions:
Re-release With Sympathy with a 2nd disc full of b-sides/rarities. Suck it up and work something out with Arista/Sony/American Beat.
Suck it up and work something out with Warner Bros & re-release everything from Twitch/Twitched up through Dark Side in remastered, repackaged editions with a 2nd disc full of b-sides/rarities and some nicely written liner notes (ie not drunken anti-Bush ramblings). See the recent Depeche Mode backcatalogue rereleases to see how this is properly done.
Release “In Case…” on DVD with some bonus footage/interviews/special features. Also consider releasing the Minneapolis '83 video if a quality master can be found somewhere.
Dig even deeper into the vaults and release “Early Trax vol. 2” on Ryko. Perhaps there are some solid live pieces from the 82-85 era similar to what’s been released on this site.
Release the Buck Satan sessions in any way, shape or form
6 (optional) Get out the live material (3 albums, wasn’t it?) that was supposed to come out on Ipecac years ago.

Post of the year. Anyone have Al’s email address?

Those would be the cooler (and possible) options to go with that would restore a bit of dignity to Ministry. Especially Buck Satan. I mean If Al has issues with depending on old glory (which I don’t believe at all, if there was a good possibility that it would generate considerable $$$ he’d be all over it like hot cakes) Buck Satan would hardly qualify in this category as he’s never bloody released anything from it, despite promising to do so for years. The best he’s offered is playing clips from it before shows (I remember a great little ditty about the Ku Klux Klan before the Fornicatour show I saw).
Though if the Warner albums were to be re-released & re-packaged Paul would probably be left out or ignored and that would be a crime. They’d have to kiss and make up for that to go down as it should.
I want that scrapped “ambient” album from the ‘Dark Side…’ era! Goddamnit! I know I sound like a broken record.
Afra, if you even bother reading this stuff anymore, can you please contact Barker and get the whole skinny (no pun intended) on that particular piece of Ministry’s past?
I will blow you for it.
Me and b’odoom are still willing to interview him.
Voidhead;
Yikes, I’d forgotten about the “ambient” album. Definitey add that to my list above.

I hear what you’re saying but I wanted to give my two cents on this record. To me its as close to a “classic” sounding Ministry release as we’ve gotten in years. Don’t get me wrong I happen to be in the category that thinks the Trilogy yielded some awesome results. I also know there is a segment of the fanbase that doesn’t care for those records for various reasons (i.e. too metal, too political, etc). I feel like this release gave us (I consider myself a fan first) as fans something that has been pined for for a while. Make no mistake I’m not saying this record is the 2nd coming of say “Mind” for example but it definitely feels like it has elements akin to it for me which is really cool.

Another one of these things?
