The label too, or just the store?
Either way, good for her.
Hopefully they’ll try to find and cultivate some unique artists and not just tread water with the same dumb 1990 Industrial jibber jabber.
Lowandslow isn’t a Wax Trax employee or in that camp. The first Low And Slow test pressing really sold for $700 to a fan. I believe several others sold as well at the Wax Trax pop up store for the same cost. These were just leftover inventory, so it’s not like they were pressing more to sell at that cost. These were the only ones in existence, other than a couple copies (like mine) that made it out there. There was finally enough demand that Paul is releasing the thing, which many folks have been waiting for for years. No conspiracy. Just giving the fans what they want, which is a Wax Trax tradition.
I was the same with buying a CD copy of Rigor Mortis’ “Freaks” off Ebay for like $25 to have it reissued a year later. But, yeah, that was $25 . . . for a format that I can actually USE.
I bought it on cassette for $2 recently. Despite the Ministry connection, it’s not really my thing at all.

This is exactly the reason I thought the Ebay auction was a ruse. Coincidence they sold the record for same amount it sold for on ebay? I really thought they were getting an idea for what they could sell it for. If you say otherwise though…

The label too…?
Yep, Connelly’s cocksure offering was on WaxTrax! with the next cataloged # that should have used had they not went under

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Today’s winner.
It’s kind of like how I bought one of the first HDTVs for $2500. A 34" CRT tube HDTV that didn’t even have an HD tuner in it because no one was really broadcasting in HD, yet. The thing weighed 250 pounds. These days for $2500 you can pretty much buy a movie theatre.
Too true.
I remember around 2001 or so my buddy and I were in a Circuit City and they had this little portable DVD player with an approximate 6" flip-open screen. We thought it was so cool . . . . and it was selling for $999.00 We didn’t buy it, thank God, and these things were door busters and giveaways at stores about a year or two later . . . . selling for about $50 a piece.
Anybody know when our prizes are to show up? last I heard they would ship in September. just wondering if an actual day has been announced.
All my correspondence said October. But Julia said in an email that they would try to get it out sooner.
My recollection was November, could be wrong. I got the pailhead shirt.
I was just looking at my email a couple of days ago. In my case, it said November for the shirts and March or so for the vinyl.
Same.
So, I was looking at discogs and they have the limited Gold pressing of the Low & Slow vinyl listed as released already. I never got mine anybody else get theres?
I didn’t order that, but I got both of my perk packages long before xmas.
You should contact them. They’ve been pretty quick to get back to me about other things.

ok
I thought they already sent out the Low and Slow records. I still have not received my limited edition soundtrack record, yet. It was supposed to be have been sent by now but legal problems with the film have delayed its release and they won’t send the records until after it has been released. Pretty lame. I would not have funded it if I knew it was going to be sidetracked just like the Retrospectacle DVD.
I ordered the soundtrack as well. It was supposed to be mailed out in March. Did they change the date on it? I haven’t logged into kickstarter for a while.

“This brings us to the remaining rewards:
• Limited Kickstarter only vinyl (for both the bundle and the single vinyl reward)
• Movie Screening
• Associate Producing Credit
We understand a lot of you are super excited to get the limited vinyl and we don’t blame you. This special edition will be released in conjunction with the standard commercial release, both of which will be supporting the opening movie dates. More on that below. The producing and screening rewards are also tied to the completion to the movie and will be contingent on our timeline. Since these last rewards are intertwined, we can’t really talk about them without talking about the movie itself. As you know, our target was submission to the upcoming 2016 SXSW fest. Over the last few months we have run into a couple of unexpected legal hurdles we are still in the process of untangling. This is just a speed bump and not detrimental to the film but the timing has affected post production in a way that we were not expecting. We are working very hard to get things in order but unfortunately there are a few variables at the moment that slowed down our post production to a craw and have caused us to miss our submission deadline. We plan to be back up to speed very soon and look forward to passing along progress updates.
In the meantime it’s important to us to get as many of your rewards squared away as possible.
Which brings us back to what HAS been fulfilled. If your rewards are on the list of shipped items and you have not received your package or only part of your order…Please email us at orders@waxtraxchicago.com and we will pull up the order to see what is going on and remedy any concerns.
But before emailing about missing the limited vinyl, art prints or limited poster, just a reminder that these will be shipping separately.
That is it for now. We are super excited for what is coming next with this project. Thank you again for all you patience and understanding as we move forward!
Have a great December and lots of love from Wax Trax! to you and your family during the holidays!
