what’s the story of the Pailhead’s No Bunny and skin heads?
:P]
I don’t know of any particular story, but the song itself has that little spoken portion (I’m not certain if it’s a sample of something or if they recorded it just for the track) with the emo-angsty skinhead kid babbling about his superiority complex and pride and whatnot.
I suspect that, as sometimes happens, the knuckleheaded goons heard a fun and angry song with a little bit of thuggish flavor in it and assumed it was something sympathetic to their plight, as opposed to parody and attack.
Same thing used to happen with other classic bands and tracks . . . I used to often run into skins/racists that thought Minor Threat’s “Guilty of Being White” and Black Flag’s “White Minority” were battle cries of the pale-skinned goon squads.
In fact, In college I was doing a research paper on racist skinheads . . . one report/ article that I had used as a source had some reporter visiting some such kooks. He described one of their rooms with a confederate flag, Swastika flag, Skrewdriver, and a REAGAN YOUTH poster with a burning cross/ klansman and “New Order, No Order, Disorder” emblazoned on it.
Reagan Youth, of course, was about as far-left and anti-Nazi as can be (they looked like dirty hippies, too) . . . but they played with imagery and song titles that morons who don’t know how to put things into context just ate up like racist candy.

Posted by Julia Nash
Hello friends!
I just wanted to check in and keep you all updated on the ongoing campaign and current happenings around here.
We are officially coming up to the halfway point and you continue to go above and beyond our wildest expectations. Thank you!
I know that we have met our initial goal but please help us continue to spread the word. Every bit above our goal is going directly to making this film. from legal costs to marketing to formatting the film for festivals. We can still use your help getting the word out.
A couple of nifty things to note: We have added another new tier in our rewards section this week. Not sure if you have heard the news, but outside of Kickstarter, we just announced a brand new Wax Trax! Records release by long time friend and all around great guy, Paul Barker. This release is Paul’s original Wax Trax! project Lead Into Gold, and includes the never released EP Low & Slow. To get the party started, we are offering a limited gold vinyl pressing to all our pre-order customers at our main [url “https://u145129.ct.sendgrid.net/mpss/c/4wA/6TYCAA/t.1ol/mFFiTjtdQWqA6mjZchdgbw/h2/ahdJGgBkpDSMPy28fN9uYPLBgeJoZEM2uNM-2BcWuBMK3YNwCqNhp-2BS7ST-2FDZEnmMA”]WAX TRAX! online store. When they are gone the standard black vinyl will be available. REWARD: Lead Into Gold-Low & Slow Special Color Vinyl Limited Pressing of 50
So what does that have to do with Kickstarter and this fundraising? Well, a super small batch of 50 is being pressed on an alternative colored vinyl just for the band, family, and folks at the label and will not be commercially available. We thought it might be nice if we offered a few to you all so we are making 25 available here now! Hope you like 'em.
Also, thank you for all the great questions, comments and suggestions. It really means a lot and helps to get your feedback. Let’s tackle a few of the questions head on…
The number one request continues to be regarding multiple items from different tiers. As a couple of supporters have suggested, bringing in “add on” options could be a good fix. We agree and are happy to report that we will indeed be using the service BACKERKIT to help with the end process. This third party service will allow us to offer additional items at the end of the campaign, as well as present items that may not have made it into the campaign. For example, if we wanted to add a vintage KMFDM poster not listed, we could now offer it with your existing reward(s) at the end. This will also be the time when you will be able to select a shirt size and other detailed info pertaining to your specific reward. You don’t have to do anything additional but will be there to give you more control and greater options if needed when we close out this campaign. We hope that helps!
A lot of you have also been asking about advance DVDs and/or CD of the soundtrack as a reward.
We have gone through the DVD possibility over and over. There has been so much interest in it that we would have to be crazy not to offer it right? Well, as we dug deeper and deeper into the possibility, we still think you will ultimately appreciate the fact of waiting a little longer. Without boring you with the nuts and bolts of it, it basically means that if we are going to make a run at the festival circuit as planned, we can’t really have something that is commercially available in order for the fests to claim exclusivity. Bottom line, you most likely would end up pledging and not see any physical DVD until the whole film fest thing has run its course. If you feel frustrated now due to the movie not being offered…can you imagine the frustration after paying for a DVD that you might not see for a looooonng time. Trust us, you will thank us in the long run. So the happy answer is “yes” there will be a DVD available in the future ASAP. The sad answer is after much deliberation, “No”, we can’t in good conscience offer it to you here and now.
“Okay…Boooo, no DVD, so throw us a bone and at least offer a CD of the soundtrack for those of us who don’t buy vinyl.” We are definitely not ruling out a CD release. We just need to stay focused on the vinyl version right now. We put a lot of work into these releases and really try to make them something special. If we are able to put out a CD with the same level of care in the packaging and content then we will. Unfortunately, right now we just want to make sure we stay on point with the special Kickstarter vinyl as well as the larger vinyl release. Not sure if it’s any consolation, but we do plan on making the soundtrack available for digital download. We hope you understand.
To end on a warm fuzzy note, let’s listen in on the old answering machine from the label…My dad sounds so professional and it looks like we get a young Groovie Mann calling in as a bonus! That’s it for now, more updates to come. Thank you again!

Yes. I’ve been pretty impressed with both her and this campaign overall. It’s encouraging to see people use “crowd funding” properly and effectively (take note Primitive Race and Bobby Fields).
Thanks for the heads up, just ordered one.[/reply]
I saw this morning (2am) that they were available on the kickstarter and 20 were left. I checked again at a little after noon and only 5 were left So I jumped on it. I got one of the Gold ones off of the normal store too.
I can’t remember who ended up buying it, but I’d be pretty pissed if I was the guy that paid $700 for the “only copy of Low and Slow” only to see it released 6 months later. HAHAHA!!! Sorry, Dude. I know I shouldn’t laugh, but . . . . damn, that would suck so hard.
And I felt like a dipshit for paying $30 for a VHS copy of You Goddamned Son Of A Bitch a few years ago, only to have it come out on DVD shortly after.

I was the same with buying a CD copy of Rigor Mortis’ “Freaks” off Ebay for like $25 to have it reissued a year later. But, yeah, that was $25 . . . for a format that I can actually USE.

It was low And slow. Apparently tht was his/her job. I doubt they payed that much it was probably someone from the waxtrax camp seeing how much they could get for it. It was never meant to be sold only to see what it could bring in.
