Wax Trax Chicago

i wonder what al feels about all this…like an outcast, no doubt. prob has too much pride to come in and not be the ringleader.

Didn’t Al “run” the label? Probably why he isn’t going to be there. Too many burnt bridges over the years. That’d be cool though if richard 23 joined revco, but I heard he was a politician too. Wonder how old kmfdm-minus-sascha is going to go down too. Guenter’s obviously going to play guitar, but what about Raymond and Esch? Guitar and vocals?

we are trying very hard to get Timothy Leary to show up for a couple of songs, I have my ouija board out, I’ll let ya know!

Bisquitodoom is correct about Wax Trax Chicago and Wax Trax! Not Sub Pop. Julia Nash contacted me in early January and asked me to build the discography and artist biographies for the site, which I’m in the process of doing now. Most of the jacket photographs and 8 x 10 stills are from my personal collection, although in some cases, I pulled photos from Bisquit’s prolific scanning work on WTNSP. And as Bisquit noted, he contributed the photo of Lead Into Gold’s unreleased “Low And Slow” EP (WAX 9151), which many of you will find interesting.

Bisquit and I are going to continue WTNSP as a complement to the official Wax Trax! site. I always intended it to be an archive of information and photographs for those seeking “primary sources,” to use a historian’s parlance, rather than a comprehensive official site about the label. Generally speaking, the WTNSP site will appeal to those seeking a deeper experience (read: fanboys and trainspotters like myself).

I’m eventually planning to add my entire poster and t-shirt collection to WTNSP (I probably own 500 Wax Trax!-related t-shirts collected over 16 years), so there will be a lot of content that isn’t on the official WT! site (and vice versa). Bisquit will continue to handle the day-to-day updates because I’m slammed, unfortunately, between a day job and my band/music production (hypefactor… in case any of you are curious).

But in summary, yes, we’re contributing extensively to the official site, and WTNSP will continue as well!

Uh what ? Are you kidding? if not, I will pay you for some. Please.

This should be filmed for a DVD release. Or at least some good shit for youtube.

WORD.

Since my chances of ever seeing any of these acts live next to nil, I would be more than willing to buy, if there’s a DVD version of the event (w/some extras i.e interviews, backstage antics & other whatnots). as a show of support to Wax Trax chicago. [:)]

Ha ha… well, you could probably bribe my girlfriend and she would give them to you. She might even pay you to take them away.
