Wax Trax Chicago

Forget Al what I want to know is if there is a chance that Richard 23 might hop onstage for a song or two. After all Luc and he are 2/3 of the original Cocks. I realize it is a long shot, but it would be cool to see him sing 38 or We Shall Cleanse the World.

You Goddamned Son of a Bitch > Big Sexy Land
i doubt he’d come, i read he’s a green politician now. it would be cool though.

That would be cool. If not debuting the whole film, certainly a few scenes shown between sets would add some great buzz/publicity for the film. And a good pre-release test (if it flopped with that crowd trouble is certain).

definitely. they would be stupid not to test it. but then again, i doubt anyone at that concert would dislike it.

Front 242 are on the bill so it is possible.

bisquitodooom, did you contribute to this site as well, or have you been contacted by anyone for the content on WTNSP? If your sites joined forces, there could be a ton of info, pics, etc. available on one site. Just a thought…

I haven’t contributed to that site (yet), but one of the major contributors is Brandt, who also owns the WTNSP site and whose WT collection far eclipses mine. I think the overall plan is for that site to be more about the history, people, etc and for WTNSP to be more of a detailed discog. Who knows though.

Well, actually i did contribute one thing. It’s not up there yet, but I did put it up on WTNSP already.

You know, I’m actually seriously considering heading out to Chicago for this. I never did get to see Revco live, and somehow I’ve never managed to catch Chris live either. It would be good to see KMFDM live (or at least 3/4 of the members I’d care to see).

And notice the “and guests” under Revco? Could be R23, could be any number of others.

So who else is possibly going?

The other guest needs to be Rieflin.
Doubt I’ll make it since I’m already planning a vacation this spring, but I’m not going to rule it out just yet either.

I’m going. Wax Trax was a pretty big deal to me growing up, so this is going be a fun, unforgettable weekend. Possibly bringing one or two friends (debating whether or not to get a VIP table).

Amazing lineup. This is one of those shows you’d never think would really happen. Buying tix asap.

I think Atkins is already selling pieces of the stage from this show.

My guess for a RevCo guest would be Ogre

This just popped up from the “FIX” page . . . .

Just what you’ve been asking for…our premiere screening will be April 14th at the Chicago International Movies and Music Festival. There will be a party to follow. More screenings to follow

So if you guys want to REALLY make a vacation of it . . . . go see the screening of FIX on the 14th, then hit the WAXTRAX festival on the 15th and 16th.

Wow, even I’m starting to get tempted now . . .

Other still-existing Wax Trax! bands not yet signed on to this event:

Laibach
The Young Gods
Meat Beat Manifesto
Front Line Assembly
Foetus
Chris and Cosey
Autechre

Think any are likely to show up?

I await the set lists

Laibach will be in the middle of their European tour, so they’re out. Chris & Cosey were more of a Nettwerk band for their new releases, (though Pagan Tango was a new release on Wax Trax)…Heartbeat, Trance, etc. were just re-issues, but I guess that would still count. FLA would be cool, and they have nothing booked until May. It had to be tough just to book who’s already performing. Still, there will be “special guests”, so we could be in store for a few surprises.

It would be cool if this ‘classic’ lineup of RevCo touched on songs by some of the members’ other projects, such as Fini Tribe, Blackouts, Three Angry Poles (or solo Luc), and Lead Into Gold. Hey, I can dream…

I will be there on the 14th, so that’s perfect. Since Ministry will be missing from Wax Trax weekend, watching FIX the night before will be an ideal way to kick things off.

Damn i wanna go even to see PIG w guenter,En and the aux cox…It’s only 9 hrs away…

This should be filmed for a DVD release. Or at least some good shit for youtube.

I wonder if Chris means they won’t be p;aying with Al cause he won’t be there or they refuse to play with him. This would be a good way to get a buzz going for the real Buck Satan
