"War Stories" with Mike Scaccia in Vegas

Not for the penny pinchers, obviously, but if anyone wants to party all weekend with Scaccia in Vegas, stay in a luxury hotel, eat a bunch of high-class grub, get loaded, see some bands, get a bunch of inside access, etc. . . .

Huh. That’s pretty cool. Mike’s a nice guy, although I’ve only met him once. Approachable. Gunnar, are you part of his special guests, seeing as how you’re in Vegas every day lately???

Haha! No, I’m not a “special guest”. But if any of ya’ll buy a ticket be sure to let me know as I will be in town.

I like Scaccia ok (never met him but through interviews, personal testimonies from people who do hang with him, and such) but this comes off as a desperate grab for cash… is mike really that well known of a name to garner an auction with a 2,000 starting bid?

It ain’t a cash grab on Mike’s part, that’s for sure. Gibson and Roland and such sponsors are really behind him on building his visibility and market placement and he’s been an amazing asset for them and has grown incredibly over the past year.

This ALL ACCESS EVENT may be seen through some dirtied lenses as a lot around here have been tainted by others’ (we’ll not name names, haha!) “VIP Packages” and so forth.

But this isn’t just a bag of stickers and the prospect of a handshake or signed postcard. This is a truly unique “experience”. And it is ALL INCLUSIVE (Vegas Hotel, great meals, Private Parties, Private Performances, studio tour/ recording session, one on one time, first meeting of his new band project, tons of booze, private chartered bus for all the transport, etc.). And the “gifts”, I assure you, are actually GOOD stuff (not just some dumb laminate or a head band or something).

As for the price . . . yeah, I don’t know if a lot of people would be jumping on that, despite the value. It’s just a big bite to take.

But I’m not really sure how this “Pricefalls” thing works. Keep watch on it as maybe the prices start dropping as the time goes on or something. I really don’t know. But here it says “Falling Soon”, whatever that means.

Is Mikey a huge celebrity? No, he’s not. At least not in comparison to Beyonce or Lady Gaga or Trent Reznor for that matter. But for hardcore FANS of Ministry, Rigor Mortis, or just Scaccia as a guitarist (there will be PLENTY of wankworthiness for guitar geeks, especially) this would be a very unique and “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity.

I am curious to see how this plays out . . . .

Spending 2K in Vegas sounds like a regular weekend in Vegas. [:)]

Sounds like a great way to really great way to Get to know Mike Scaccia…

the kermit goatse. I love it!

Curtsy.

A bit of extra clarification from Mike . . .

This is going to be an experience, not just a show. You get limo service, 4 Diamond hotel, 5 star dinners, brunch, free champaign, a vodka fountain, you come intto the recording studio with me and record a song with me. Then you hear all the music I ever played. From the first songs I ever learned to present. There will be a lot of cool performers there telling stories about me.

I still say that is easily worth 2K.

I agree, and I hope it’s a big success.
When you figure a good Vegas hotel room on the weekend is going to be about $200 to $250 per night, going to a club and having a couple drinks is easily $100 pp. A good meal is about $100 pp. Add taxis/transportation, etc. . . . you’re nearing break even before even getting to the actual fan stuff and special events.

I’m just hoping that some of the big fans that would appreciate something like this get visibility on the event and have the funds to do it.

I met Trent…pictures on this site…he’s strange but we all know that.

Can you give a link, Revco?

I goof on Trent because (similar to MJK) his fans get worked into an emo frenzy, and I don’t really care about 90% of his music, but he’s always seemed (in interviews I’ve read, press releases, etc.) like a straight-up down-to-earth dude who generally wants his fans to be well treated and respected (through the ticket sales, album packages, etc.).

Some friends of mine met him in New Orleans. He was arguing with his girlfriend and they went up and started talking to him anyway. Trent was (understandably) annoyed at them and gave them the brush off.

Later that night he ran into them at a bar and apologized for being rude, even though it was really my friends who were in the wrong. The dude’s good to his fans.

Wow! That’s pretty incredible. Thanks for sharing. Stuff like that makes me wish good things for bands/artists even if I don’t like their work.

I was really impressed with the guy (Chad) from Hemlock (opening act) on the CULaTour. He was hustling before the show, talking to everyone he could, and handing out stickers/CD’s. Then afterward, I saw him standing at the exit thanking everyone that came out. Super nice dude and busting his ass. I didn’t really dig his music too much, but I left wishing he’d “make it” regardless.
